GAIL LESLIE BUTTS May 28, 1949 - Oct 28, 2024 Gail Leslie Butts, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 28, 2024, at the age of 75 in Reno, Nevada. She was born on May 28, 1949, in Vallejo, California, to the late Franklin Downing Ridges and Naomi Laverne Ridges. Gail was a remarkable woman whose life touched the hearts of all who knew her. She was known for her kindness, love, and unwavering care for those around her. Gail had a sharp mind and a compassionate soul, qualities that made her a strong person who never gave up until the very end. Gail had a passion for animals, particularly cats, and always made an effort to show them love and care. Whether it was feeding stray cats or loving on her fur babies, Gail’s love for animals knew no bounds. She was a true advocate for their well-being. A graduate of California State University Sacramento, Gail obtained a Masters in Psychology. While her main profession was a homemaker, she always used her knowledge to help her children and grandchildren be successful. Gail's intelligence and nurturing personality made her a trusted person who you could go to for advice with no judgment. Gail is survived by her loving family, who will forever cherish the memories they shared with her. She leaves behind her adored daughters, Alison Bozeman, of Susanville, California, Samantha Delgado of Susanville, California, Chelsie Pester of Vacaville, California, and her son, Tyler Butts of Vacaville, California. Gail was also a proud grandmother to Kadence Bozeman, Renee Delgado, Delilah Delgado, Naomi Pester, Chase Pester and Damon Delgado. Gail's memory will be cherished and carried on by her family, as they remember her as a devoted mother and grandmother. She leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and strength. Gail was a loyal member to AA throughout most of her life and sadly lost her battle with addiction. She would always listen and help anyone struggling, when she had the capacity to do so. Gail Leslie Butts will be dearly missed by all those who had the privilege of knowing her. May her gentle soul rest in eternal peace.
