Jay was a beloved husband, dedicated father, cherished grandfather, and highly respected member of his community. Jay's passion for farming, sharing the gospel, and spending time with his children and grandchildren was evident in everything he did. Jay was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, finding solace and purpose within its teachings. As a devoted disciple, Jay served multiple influential missions abroad, leaving a lasting impact on all those he encountered. His dedication to his faith was unmatched. On February 21, 1980, Jay entered into holy matrimony with his beloved wife, Eleanor Scribner, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Their union was a testament to the power of love, commitment, and unwavering support. Jay and Eleanor shared a deep bond that brought joy to their lives, and their example inspired all who knew them. Jay's memory will forever be cherished by his loving family. He is survived by his adored children: Raylene of Dallas, TX; Jennifer of San Diego, CA; Donnetta of Phoenix, AZ; Jeremy of Boise, ID; Laura of Phoenix, AZ; Jonathan of Provo, UT; and Joy of St. George, UT. Jay's parents, Joseph and Marva, precede him in death, but their legacy of love and resilience lives on through their son. Held dear by his grandchildren and extended family, Jay will be remembered for his wisdom, kindness, and unwavering love. His guidance and support have left an indelible mark on their lives, and they find solace in knowing that his spirit lives on in their hearts.
