Willie was born on September 19, 1974, in Savannah, Georgia, to the late Willie Holmes Sr and Linda Jones Lacewell. Willie attended Savannah High School and graduated from Wingate High School. He cherished his education and was always eager to expand his knowledge. Willie's love for learning was reflected in all aspects of his life. Willie fulfilled various responsibilities during his career. He dedicated himself as a Roofer at Straight Line Roofing, where he worked tirelessly with passion and skill. Willie's hard work and expertise left an indelible mark on the roofing industry. In his leisure time, Willie found solace in camping and exploring the extraordinary beauty of nature. He believed that being in the great outdoors was not only therapeutic but also a way to appreciate the wonders of creation. These moments brought him tranquility and joy. Willie was a member of St. John's Baptist Church, where he found spiritual fulfillment and strength. He embraced the teachings of his faith and displayed a steadfast commitment to his beliefs. Willie's warm and caring presence will be deeply missed by his mother, Linda Lacewell, his siblings Tonya Holmes, Catina Holmes, Bobby Jones, Leah Hughes, Lana Holmes, Alexia Holmes, Julian Holmes, and Jacoby Hughes. He shared a special bond with each of them, marked by unconditional love and support. Willie was preceded in death by his father, Willie Holmes Sr, his wife Amanda Hughes Holmes, and his grandparents. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of his loved ones, who will find solace in their cherished moments together and the invaluable impact he made on their lives.
