Chris George, aged 61, of Albany, Georgia, passed away on August 29, 2014. He was born on July 04, 1953, in Blakely, Georgia, to his loving parents, Horace George and Alvester McCoy. Chris's life will be honored and remembered at the Martin Luther King Memorial on Martin Luther King Junior Drive in Albany, Georgia. The funeral service will be held at 1908 Martin Luther King Jr Dr, Albany, GA 31701, USA, under the care of the Martin Luther King Memorial. A proud graduate of Early County High School in Blakely, Georgia, Chris later served in the Army from June 2, 1970, to July 23, 1980, achieving the rank of E7. He was an esteemed member of First Mount Olive Baptist Church where he served as an Usher. In his leisure time, Chris enjoyed fishing, racing cars, fixing cars, and constructing homes from the ground up. Chris was happily married to Martha Curry George since March 7, 1978. He was the beloved father of Caletha Hudson, Horace George, Nekezia George, Jawanis George, Demetrius George, Shanedra George, Angela Bowman, Kelvin Smith, Aquanita Sparks, Aquanetta Sparks, Tamara George, Ken Lewis, Shenika Hudson Mobley, and Tiffany Holt Misher. During his career, Chris owned Bush Construction. His dedication to his work and his family leaves behind a lasting legacy of love, strength, and hard work. Chris's warm spirit and kind heart touched the lives of many, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him. May his soul rest in peace, and may his memory be a blessing to all who were fortunate enough to have shared in his life's journey.
