He spent his last days at Trinity Health Oakland Hospital. Here, he died due to pneumonia and cardiac arrest. Born on December 13th, 1936, in Detroit, Michigan, Rev. Adams left a lasting mark on the city he loved. He retired as the pastor of Hartford Memorial Baptist Church in Detroit. Where he devoted over 50 years to helping lives through the teachings of The Gospel and uplifting the community. Under his leadership, Hartford achieved significant milestones, extending its impact beyond the church walls. Beyond spiritual guidance, Rev. Adams led economic development projects. This included the creation of a Headstart program and the remodeling of a city park. Rev. Charles G. Adams' legacy is beyond his role as a religious leader. He was a champion for justice and a ray of hope for many. His dedication to Detroit and its residents earned him praise from city officials. It includes Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan and City Council President Mary Sheffield. As the community mourns the loss of a great man, the focus remains on continuing his work and uplifting Detroit in his honor.
