"Doug Ahlstedt, a cherished figure, passed away at 78 on November 24th, 2023, at his Pittsburgh home. Born on March 16th, 1945, in Jamestown, NY, and he was a beloved husband, father, brother, teacher, and friend. Doug's journey included a music education degree from SUNY Fredonia and U.S. Army service in Okinawa. He married Linda Foxx in 1969, sharing musical roles at the Anglican Church of Okinawa. Doug's vocal prowess led to a San Francisco Opera debut in 1972. And later a three-year contract at the Metropolitan Opera in 1973. Transitioning to academia, he became a professor at Carnegie Mellon University in 1998, retiring in 2020. Fluent in several languages, Doug's operatic career spanned 35 years, marked by international performances. He was a key figure in creating the Steelers Opera Chorus. He is remembered for his gentle spirit. Doug is survived by his wife, Linda, children Charlotte Siska, Kirsten Berger, Björn Ahlstedt. And grandchildren Henrik, Astrid, Rush, Arvid, Elsi, brother Steven Ahlstedt, and sister Tina Michalski. His legacy encompasses family love, musical dedication, and a profound impact on students and the operatic world. "

"The world of radio mourns the loss of a true friend, Clarke Ingram. He passed away on November 25th, 2023, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, at the age of 66. Battling multiple major illnesses for several years. Ingram, a Pittsburgh native, left a lasting mark as a renowned program director in top-40 radio. Throughout his career, Clarke Ingram proved his mastery not only behind the microphone but also in programming. From his days at WXKX (96.1) during the 96KX era to WBZZ (93.7) as B-94, his influence extended beyond Pittsburgh. Ingram worked at iconic radio stations such as WHTZ (""Z-100"") in New York City. It also included KZZP in Phoenix, Arizona, and WPXY in Rochester, New York. Ingram, known for his humor, would jest, ""I may be the only person who started out on FM radio and worked my way backward!"" His journey included roles at Broadcast Communications, Inc., where he programmed WKHB (620 Irwin) and WKFB (770 Jeannette). Thus leaving his voice echoing through the stations. His career was full of awards, ranking #38 among the ""40 Top 40 DJs of All Time"" in 1995. Later, earning ""Program Director of the Year"" from popular broadcasting organizations. Clarke Ingram leaves behind a legacy cherished by cousins and a host of friends in the radio business. "
