Nelson Sonny Jackson January 30, 1950 - September 14, 2024 Nelson Sonny Jackson, aged 74, passed away on September 14, 2024 in McComb, Mississippi. He was born on January 30, 1950, in Liberty, Mississippi, to Walter Jackson and Mary Travis. Nelson's family and friends meant the world to him, and his loss will be deeply felt by all who knew him. Nelson's funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate staff at Crain Funeral Home Inc, located at 1109 Bene St, Franklinton, LA. The service will be held at the funeral home in Franklinton, Louisiana on September 21 2024 @ 11:00 follow by a small repast dinner where refreshments will be served in the church dining area. Nelson spent his formative years attending Saint Gabriel High School in SAINT GABRIEL, Louisiana. After completing his education, he embarked on a journey of self-discovery and personal growth. Nelson found great joy and fulfillment in several activities, including fishing, hunting, spending time in the yard, church study, and most importantly, spending time with his beloved children. Nelson was an active member of Zion Hill Baptist church and derived immense strength and solace from his faith. He was a dedicated member of his church community and found great comfort in the teachings of his faith. Nelson Sonny Jackson was a loving and devoted father. He leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories that will forever be treasured by his surviving children. Jennifer Strong of Itta Bena, MS, Stephanie McCall of Monroe, LA, Lisa Marie Jackson of Pensacola, FL, and Greg Jackson of Monroe, LA, will remember their father's unwavering support and unconditional love. Nelson's role as a father extended beyond biological ties; he was a guiding light and a source of wisdom to his children. His influence in their lives will forever be cherished. Nelson is survived by his daughters, Jennifer, Stephanie, and Lisa Marie, as well as his son, Greg. Their love for him was immeasurable, and they will forever hold him close in their hearts. Nelson's life was also touched by his sisters, Wanda Travis and Linda Travis, and his brother, Wilton Travis, who have left before him. Their memories will be cherished, and they will never be forgotten. Nelson Sonny Jackson's presence in our lives will be profoundly missed. He will forever be remembered for his warmth, kindness, and the indelible mark he left on this world. May his soul find eternal peace.
