In Loving Memory of Richard Anthony Drago (Dick) – June 25, 1945 - November 2, 2023 Tampa, Florida bids farewell to a legendary figure in the baseball world, Richard Anthony Drago (Dick), who passed away on November 2, 2023, due to complications following surgery. Born on June 25, 1945, in Toledo, Ohio, Dick's legacy transcends his remarkable career in baseball, leaving an indelible mark on the sport and the hearts of those who knew him. Notably, in 1969, he threw the first complete game in Kansas City Royals history, contributing to 53 complete games during his five-year Royal career. In 1973, he was traded to the Boston Red Sox, where he became a key player in two World Series appearances, pitching three scoreless innings in Game Six in 1975.
