She ran the business with devotion and diligence, ensuring that every customer received exceptional service. Furthermore, Dorothy's love for children inspired her to open a successful daycare, which she operated out of her own home for an impressive 17 years. Through her daycare, she nurtured numerous young minds and instilled in them the value of education and kindness. Beyond her professional accomplishments, Dorothy was deeply involved in her community. She was an active and devoted member of LIGHT OF THE WORLD CHURCH OF CHRIST. Her faith provided her with strength, solace, and the ability to spread love and compassion to those around her. Dorothy served as a Minister, guiding others on their spiritual journeys and offering comfort to those in need. When she wasn't serving her community, Dorothy found solace in her hobbies. She had a passion for sewing and used her trusty sewing machine to create beautiful crafts, outfits, trinkets, and costume jewelry. Her family was the fortunate recipient of her handcrafted creations. Dorothy also showed great dedication to her political interests, always staying informed and engaging in discussions about current events. Dorothy was a devoted wife to her loving husband, John Stocks. They were blessed with four children: Jacqueline, Madeline (twins), Lametrius, and John. Dorothy's profound love and care extended to her grandchildren as well. Michelle, Jamon, Auhmad, Essence, Jordan, and Camden were all recipients of her unwavering support and affection. Born on November 16th, 1967, in Dallas, Texas. Watkins became a trailblazing figure, breaking barriers and leaving an indelible mark on history. The announcement of Watkins' passing came from family friend Russell Wilson, who shared the news in a somber statement. Watkins was a graduate of Prairie View A&M University and the Texas Wesleyan University School of Law. He began his career as an intern in the Dallas County district attorney's office. After an initial defeat in 2002, Watkins persisted and, in 2006, secured the position of District Attorney. Thus making history as the first African-American to hold the role in Dallas County. During his tenure, Watkins focused on criminal justice reform. Notably establishing the Conviction Integrity Unit, which successfully overturned wrongful convictions, contributing to justice reform nationwide. While the cause of Watkins' death remains undisclosed. His passing is mourned not only for his professional achievements but also for his dedication to public service and justice. A member of the Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity, Watkins' legacy as a trailblazer and advocate for equality will be remembered.
