Leslie Charleson, the "General Hospital' star who played Monica Quartermaine, passed away at 79. The four-time Emmy nominee had been playing the cherished cardiologist since 1977, which made her the longest-serving cast member of the daytime soap opera. Her career started in 1964 when she was cast on "A Flame in the Wind," another ABC soap opera. Her other popular works include "Port Charles," a General Hospital spin-off, and the film "Love is a Many Splendored Thing." Born in 1945 in Kansas City, Missouri, Leslie went into acting at a young age and studied theatre at Bennett College in New York. Charleson joined General Hospital at a time when the series ratings were low and initially only signed on for two years. Ultimately, she ended up falling in love with the character of Monica, which led her to stay longer than other cast members. Leslie also made guest appearances on Diagnosis: Murder and Dharma & Greg. Moreover, she aced in a 2004 episode of the popular sitcom Friends alongside Joey on a game show. She married Bill Demms from 1988 to 1991. She leaves behind her legacy of passion and commitment.

Born on June 6, 1972, in Kansas City, Kansas, Robert's departure has left an indelible void in the hearts of his family, friends, and all those who knew him. Robert was a man of warmth, compassion, and integrity, and his memory will forever be cherished. He graduated from North Kansas City High School in 1992 and remained deeply connected to his alma mater throughout his life. Robert had an insatiable thirst for knowledge and found solace in the pursuit of wisdom and understanding. His education was a source of pride and a testament to his dedication and determination. A man of diverse interests, Robert found joy in several hobbies. Fishing was his sanctuary, offering him tranquility and a deep-rooted connection with nature. Camping adventures allowed him to find solace amidst the great outdoors, while the precious moments shared with his family brought immeasurable joy to his heart. Robert's genuine love for his family radiated through every interaction, as he cherished the time spent together and treasured the memories created. Robert was a faithful member of First Baptist Church in Independence, Missouri. His unwavering faith served as a guiding light, providing him with strength and comfort during life's trials and tribulations. Through his involvement in the church, Robert cultivated meaningful connections with his fellow congregants and was an integral part of the spiritual community. Left to mourn Robert's departure are his beloved mother, Alma Jean Johnson Merrill of St. Joseph, Missouri. Alma's unwavering love and support were a constant source of inspiration and encouragement for Robert throughout his life. Gala Jean Brownfield, his sister from Kansas City, Missouri, also survives him. Gala and Robert shared a deep bond that was enriched by love, laughter, and the joys of siblinghood. Rodney Christopher Borden, his brother from St. Joseph, Missouri, also mourns Robert's loss. Their brotherly connection was one of understanding, companionship, and irreplaceable memories. In addition to his immediate family, Robert is survived by a host of nieces and nephews, whose lives were touched by his warmth and kindness. He leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion that will be remembered fondly by all who were fortunate enough to have known him. Robert Ceaser Borden was preceded in death by his loving father, Rc Borden, and his cherished grandparents, Grandpa Borden, Grandmother Lillian Borden, and Grandmother June Ruth Johnson. Also preceding him were his cousin, Jason Gene Reynolds, and great-grandmother, Granny Opal Teal.
