With a heavy heart, we mourn the loss of a remarkable young man whose time with us was tragically cut short. Da1quan, aged 23, departed this world on October 3, 2024, leaving behind a profound void in the hearts of all who knew him. Born on September 26, 2001, in Dillon, South Carolina, Da1quan was a radiant soul who possessed a zest for life that was palpable to all those around him. His vibrant presence was felt in every room he entered and radiated positivity, leaving an indelible mark on everyone he encountered. Da1quan was a gift to this world and his legacy will forever remain. Da1quan's academic journey began at Dillon High School in Dillon, South Carolina, where he thrived in his pursuit of knowledge. He had an insatiable appetite for learning, and his commitment to education was testament to his unwavering determination. Graduating from Dillon High School, Da1quan demonstrated his thirst for personal growth and his potential to soar to great heights. Outside of his academic pursuits, Da1quan found solace and creative expression in playing the drums. As a young musician, he effortlessly breathed life and rhythm into his performances, leaving audiences mesmerized. Da1quan's talent on the drums was an extension of his vibrant spirit, as he used music to channel his emotions and connect with others in a profound way. Faith held a significant place in Da1quan's heart, as he was a devoted member of the New St Mark Missionary Baptist Church. Through his involvement in the church community, he found strength, solace, and a nurturing environment that nurtured his spiritual growth. Da1quan's rich and purposeful life extended beyond his personal pursuits, as he was known for his selflessness and willingness to lend a helping hand to those in need. While Da1quan did not align himself with any specific charitable organization, his acts of kindness and generosity were evident in his interactions with others. He had an innate ability to uplift those around him, continuously inspiring hope and gratitude within his community. In his professional life, Da1quan served as a custodian at Purdue, where his dedication and strong work ethic were recognized and respected. His commitment to excellence shone through in every task he undertook, leaving a lasting impression on his colleagues. Da1quan approached his work with humility and integrity, leaving behind an admirable professional legacy. Da1quan's departure leaves behind a void that can never be filled, but his memory will forever live on in the hearts of those he loved and who loved him in return. He is survived by his mother, Jackie Jackson, and his father, Kevin Joyner. Da1quan also leaves behind his brother, Antwan Blakely, and his sister, Quana Morrison. The family's sorrow is shared by their respective communities in Dillon, South Carolina, and Fayetteville, North Carolina. Da1quan's passing has left us in grief, but his spirit will forever remain an inspiration. Though he is no longer physically present, his light will continue to shine through the memories and cherished moments shared by all who were fortunate enough to have known him.
