Larry King Jackson May 12, 1948 - Dec 2, 2024 Larry King Jackson was born the 5th child of the late Orrin and Lucy Jackson. beloved husband, father, and friend, peacefully passed away on December 2, 2024, at the age of 76 in Stockbridge, Georgia. He was born on May 12, 1948, in Atlanta, Georgia, to the late Orrin Jackson and Lucy Moore. Larry, known for his charismatic personality and warm smile, will forever be remembered as a devoted family man, an avid fisherman, and a skillful handyman. His passions included grilling as founder CEO of Jackson Old Fashioned BBQ mouthwatering meals, building and driving race cars, and being an all-around handyman. Larry had a zest for life that touched the hearts of everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. Larry proudly served his country as a member of the Army during the Vietnam War. He dedicated himself to protecting the freedoms we hold dear and displayed unwavering bravery and commitment. Larry's military service spanned from January 2, 1966, to May 2, 1968. Larry will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 8 years, Lequetta Mattox. Their marriage was a beautiful union of two souls, and they shared many joyous moments together. Larry is also survived by his children, Tamika King of Atlanta, GA, Brandon McWhorter of Atlanta, GA, Patrick, and Jaleen Jackson of Lithonia, GA. Larry's legacy will be carried on by his devoted family and cherished memories. He is preceded in death by his siblings Frankie Clark, Charlotte Gholston, Orrin Jr, Jerry, Jerome, Adli, William Rowley, and Donald. Larry will forever be remembered as a man of integrity, love, and compassion. He made a lasting impact on all who were fortunate enough to have known him.
