Selznick, goes to his last resting place on Thursday at the age of 88. He departed from life due to natural causes at the Motion Picture Country Home in Woodland Hills, California. Residents of the MPTF remember Selznick for his unbeatable charm, intelligence, generosity, and sweetness. Selznick was born in Los Angeles in 1936. He graduated from Harvard University and also attended Brandeis University and the University of Geneva. Later, he followed his family’s footsteps and pursued a career in the entertainment industry, including a four-year stint as a production executive at Universal Studios. Daniel Selznick’s father – David O. Selznick, is known for his masterpieces, including films like “King Kong,” “Duel in the Sun,” “Gone with the Wind,” and more. Whereas Irene, his mother, has been a Tony Award nominee. She was the daughter of the film tycoon Louis B. Mayer. Daniel, along with his brother – Jaffrey Selznick, produced the Peabody award-winning documentary titled “The Making of a Legend: Gone with the Wind.” This documentary captured how their father tailored the mesmerizing 1939 film. His brother died in 1977. After that, he became one of the best producers, giving many TV mini-series, including “Hoover vs. the Kennedys: The Second Civil War,” “Blood Feud,” “Night Drive, and Reagan's Way: Pathway to the Presidency.” He also directed his later work, leading him to serve as the director of the Louis B. Mayer Foundation. Daniel Selznick married three times, and he has left no descendants to continue his legacy. His commitment to sustainability was truly admirable. On July 25, 1967, Bernado entered into a blessed union of marriage with his devoted wife, Rebecca, in Mexico. Their love and partnership were strong and enduring, marked by a profound understanding and mutual respect. Together, they shared a meaningful journey, supporting each other through life's joys and challenges. Bernado was a loyal and dedicated person.
