"Frank Wycheck was an 11-year NFL veteran renowned for his pivotal role in the Music City Miracle. He passed away on December 9th, 2023, at his home in Chattanooga, Tennessee, at the age of 52. He died due to an apparent fall. Born on October 14th, 1971, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Wycheck achieved stardom in high school and continued his success at the University of Maryland. Thus earning All-ACC honors and setting a conference record. Drafted by the Washington Commanders in 1993. Wycheck faced a setback in 1995 when he was released for steroid use. Subsequently signed by the Houston Oilers, which later became the Tennessee Titans. Here, he excelled, earning three Pro Bowl selections and making 505 receptions for 5,126 yards with 28 touchdowns. Wycheck’s defining moment occurred on January 8th, 2000. With the Music City Miracle—a last-second, 75-yard touchdown secured a comeback victory over the Buffalo Bills. Post-retirement, Wycheck briefly ventured into wrestling and later provided color commentary for the Tennessee Titans. However, he departed from broadcasting in 2017.
