Yvonne Winstead Obituary

Yvonne M. (Topper) Winstead passed on April 22, 2023 due to complications of diabetes. She was born October 17, 1933 to the late Lloyd and Lola Topper. Yvonne graduated from Reitz High School where she was a majorette in the band. She also enjoyed bowling and playing cards. Yvonne traveled with and assisted her husband, Robert D "Bob" Winstead, in the horse racing business. Bob and Yvonne were married 68 years until his passing in 2019. Yvonne was also preceded in death by her parents, by her daughter, Linda Weber, and siblings, Leland and Wayne Topper, Lois Huffman, and Gail Oeth. She is survived by two daughters, Robin Peck, who lived with Yvonne and was her primary caregiver for several years; and Donna Hamilton (John); 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p. m. on Thursday, April 27, 2023 at Alexander West Chapel officiated by Rev. Gene Backes, followed by private entombment at Alexander Memorial Park.
