Yvonne M. Sturdevant passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Monday, June 20, 2022. Yvonne was born to Frank and Dortha (Coleman) Mitchell on March 24, 1923 in Daggett Hollow Pennsylvania. She was 99 at the time of her passing. She retired from the Corning Glass Works where she has worked in the Pressware Plant. Yvonne loved playing with her animals and enjoyed playing solitaire. She liked to watch and feed her birds in her yard. She also loved to watch her westerns on tv. She leaves behind her children, Kim Souza of Brooksville, FL, Eugene (Valerie) Swartz of Brooksville, FL, Harry Swartz of Middlebury Center Pennsylvania, Julia Morse of Winchester Kentucky and Lois Greene of Newark, NY; sister, Helen Mattison of Corning, NY; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband's Fred Swartz and Glenn Sturdevant. The family will receive friends from 12-1 p. m. on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at Acly-Stover Funeral Home.
