Yvonne L. Johnston, 65, of Grand Island, passed away June 20, 2022 at CHI- Health St. Francis. A funeral service is scheduled for Friday, June 24th at 11:30 am at All Faiths Funeral Home. Dan Naranjo will officiate. Yvonne was born on September 20, 1956, in Grand Island, to Robert and Myrna (Rakestraw) Slattery. She remained a life long resident of Grand Island, graduating from Grand Island Central Catholic High School in 1974, then from Central Community College, where she earned an Associates Degree in Data Processing. In March of 1982, Yvonne started working for the City of Grand Island as a computer programmer and she remained there until her retirement in August of 2021. On February 12, 1987, Yvonne was united in marriage to Michael Johnston. Three children were blessed into this union, Lindy, Michaela, and Michelle. Yvonne was a member of St. Leo’s Catholic Church.
