Yvonne Shirley (Oliver) Gressett, 95, of Sandy Point went home to her Lord and Savior on June 19, 2022. Yvonne was born on October 17, 1926, to parents Ernest Levi and Nellie Pearl (Hunt) Oliver. The family moved to Rosharon when she was five years old, and she stayed in this area throughout her lifetime. She married Travis Gressett on July 11, 1944. She was a member of Life Foursquare Church. Yvonne was preceded in death by her husband Travis Gressett in 2001; Father Ernest Levi Oliver in 1970 and her Mother Nellie Hunt Oliver in 1934. Also preceding her was her brother Ernest "Buddy" Oliver, Jr. , sister Kathryn Bruns, and granddaughter Rhonda Stallworth-Baldwin. Left to treasure her memory is her daughter Jan Gressett Stallworth and husband Ronald of Sandy Point, stepson Frank Edward Gressett of Angleton; grandchild: Alicia Stallworth; great grandchildren: Megan Baldwin, Kasey Baldwin, Ashlee Stallworth, Lauren Baldwin, Hannah Stallworth and Jett Sumrald; and great great grandson Kash Stallworth. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a. m. with the Funeral Service following at 11:00 a. m. on Friday, June 24, 2022, at Palms Funeral Home with Pastor Cere Muscarella officiating. Interment will follow at Angleton Cemetery.
