"Yvonne C. Evans, age 70, of Bloomsburg, passed away on Wednesday morning, October 4, 2023, at her South Centre Twp. home, surrounded by her loving family and under the care of Compassus Hospice. She was a resident of her home in South Centre Twp. for over 22 years. She was born on Friday, September 4, 1953 in Berwick, a daughter of the late Paul L. and Reatha J. (Harmen) East. She graduated from the Columbia Montour Area Vo Tech School in 1971. On August 23, 1993, Yvonne married her loving husband, Dana L. Evans. For over 20 years, Yvonne was employed by Kawneer and Berwick Offrey until her retirement in 2016. Yvonne enjoyed spending her time gardening, crafts, yearly beach trips, and shopping. She was blessed with the support of family and friends and the ALS Association their nurses and doctors that supported her through this disease. Survivors include her beloved husband of 30 years, Dana L. Evans of Bloomsburg; her three children; Autumn Reigle Whitmire and husband Terry of Berwick, Jennifer M. Reigle of Bloomsburg, Chris Reigle and wife Janelle of Bloomsburg, two stepsons: Danny Evans of Surf Side, SC and Adams Evans of Williamsport, four grandchildren; Jasmine, Christopher, Kayla, Corey, and two great-grandsons; Brentley, and Dominick, one brother: Mark East and wife Bonnie of Indiana. Maliki was a wonderful, energetic, loving, little boy who doted on his little sister. He enjoyed playing with dinosaurs, playing outside, and stacking things. Watching movies like Toy Story and The Good Dinosaur were his favorite. He has a wonderful loving family and he loved staying at his grandparents' house. There wasn't an animal that he didn't love. He was an amazing little boy and will be greatly missed. On September 8, 1962, Bob married Bette Jayne Pearsall at St. Michael Catholic Church in Flint, MI. He retired from General Motors in 1995 after 31 years of service. A faithful member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Bob found solace and strength in his faith. He was a pillar of support for his family and friends, embodying the values of love, compassion, and kindness. Bob had a zest for life and pursued various interests that brought him immense joy. He had a passion for the outdoors, enjoying fishing and hunting, and spent cherished moments with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His love for the thrill of the casino, the camaraderie of card games (especially Euchre), and the satisfaction of gardening added rich layers to his vibrant personality. Known for his infectious sense of humor, Bob was a great joke teller, often engaging in playful banter and practical jokes with his twin brother. He was a sports enthusiast who excelled as a slow-pitch softball pitcher, demonstrated prowess on the hockey rink, and showed finesse on the bowling alley. His loyalty to Detroit sports was unwavering, and he could be found passionately cheering for the Detroit Lions and Detroit Tigers. Bob's love for football and baseball was a constant source of joy and excitement for those who shared in his passion. "Clark C. Parker, age 87, of Danville, went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at his home of 30 years. He was born on Wednesday, January 29, 1936 in Bloomsburg, a son of the late Clark M. Parker and Jennie R. (Oman) Pelter. Clark attended the Bloomsburg High School. On December 15, 1977, Clark married his loving wife, the former Dolores C. Boone who preceded him in death on December 2, 2019. Clark was employed by the Bloomsburg Hospital in the Maintenance Department until his retirement in 2003. Clark was a member of the Bloomsburg Christian Church, where he regularly attended services. He enjoyed spending his time mowing grass, gardening, dining out at local restaurants and talking with his friends on the phone. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife, Clark was also preceded in death by six siblings; Dorothy Atherton, Norman Parker, Jay Parker, John \u0026quot;Art\u0026quot; Parker, Harold Parker, and Clara Hosler. Dale was born in Ypsilanti, MI on January 15, 1953, son of the late Noah and Mary (Calkins) Jacko. He was a graduate of Northwestern High School Class of 1971. Dale proudly served his country in the U. S. Army from 1971-1977. On April 12, 2003, Dale married Linda Navarre and she preceded him in death on November 5, 2019. He retired from General Motors in 1998 after 21 years of service. Dale enjoyed spending time with family and friends, live music, and Patron. He will forever be remembered for his love of life and infectious sense of humor. "James G. \u0026quot;Jim\u0026quot; Dewees, age 68, of Bloomsburg formerly of Philadelphia, passed away on Sunday, November 19, 2023, with his loving wife by his side, a patient of the Grandview Health and Rehabilitation Center, Danville. Jim was a resident of his home in Bloomsburg for over twenty years. Jim was born on Wednesday, August 10, 1955 in Philadelphia, a son of the late Francis and Teresa (Cecelia) Dewees. He graduated from the Roman Catholic High School, Philadelphia in 1973. He faithfully served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged in 1975. On September 14, 1991, he married his loving wife, the former Joanne McHugh. Jim was employed by the Philadelphia Police Department, entering the Police Academy in 1977 as a Patrol Officer and also working in the Traffic Unit. In 1987 he rose to the rank of Sergeant, where he performed various duties in patrol and the internal affairs unit, until his retirement in 2003. He was a member of St. Columba Catholic Church, Bloomsburg. He was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Police, Philadelphia Lodge #5. He enjoyed being a Sergeant of the Police Department and was awarded commendations through his work, where he specialized in special units and patrol. After retirement he continued working for Geisinger Logistics as a courier for 16 years. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Francis Dewees. Survivors include his beloved wife of 32 years, Joanne Dewees of Bloomsburg and a sister, Rosemarie Salvati of Albrightsville, PA. Helen was a resident of her home in Lime Ridge for over forty years. Helen was born on Saturday, July 29, 1944 in Coatesville, a daughter of the late Roy R. and Jeanette (Peck) Fisher. She graduated from the Scott Senior High School, Coatesville in 1963. On March 22, 1974, Helen married her loving husband, Gary Larue Pursel who preceded her in death on July 18, 2016. She enjoyed camping, traveling especially going to the beach, bingo, attending concerts and her beloved dog, Gunner. She attended the Muncy Area Schools. In August 1972, Leola married her loving husband, Glenn E. Kessler who preceded her in death April 1999. She was employed by the former Rose Lawn Yards, Danville until she had to stop working due to health issues. She was also a member of the 39\u0026#43; Club of Danville, and The Washingtonville Grange. She had received several awards, The Grange Public Service Award and The Billtown Clown for special needs kids. She attended the Berwick High School where achieved her GED. She was employed by Subway of Bloomsburg as a Manger. Lois was a member of the Bloomsburg Fire Department and collected donations for the carnival. Lois enjoyed collecting dalmatians and loved all kind of animals, she was a Pittsburgh Steelers fan and an Elvis Presley fan. She loved her kids and grandkids and would help anybody if she could.
