Funeral services for Thomas Keith Hamilton, 62 of Acme, LA will be held at Young's Funeral Home Chapel in Ferriday at 3PM on Monday, March 4, 2024 with Bro. Jason Sparks officiating. Interment will follow at New Era Baptist Church Cemetery in Acme, LA under the direction of Young's Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at Young's Funeral Home Ferriday from 1PM until the time of the service at 3PM. Keith was born on Sunday, November 26, 1961 in Miami, FL. and passed away Thursday, February 29, 2024 in Baton Rouge. He was a life long resident of Acme, LA. Keith was a dedicated millwright and proud member of the 1192 Millwright Union. For 25 years, he lent his skills and expertise to Siemens, leaving an indelible mark on the industry. Beyond the confines of the workplace, he was a devoted family man and an avid outdoorsman. Keith's heart belonged to his family, and the joy he found in the company of his grandchildren and friends was unparalleled. A passionate hunter and fisherman, he was at home in the beauty of nature. His legacy is not only etched in the machinery he expertly maintained but also in the memories of shared laughter during hunting trips and quiet moments by the water. Keith will be remembered for his unwavering dedication, warm spirit, and the love he shared with those fortunate enough to be part of his life. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, friendship, and a deep appreciation for the simple joys found in the great outdoors. He was preceded in death by his wife, Debbi Hamilton, mother, Bonita Hamilton, and his niece, Kayla Hamilton. Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Kristie Lee and her husband Jeremy of Brookhaven, MS, grandchildren, Mia Lee and Carter Lee of Brookhaven, MS; father, Bobby Hamilton of Acme, LA, brothers, Robert Hamilton and his wife Doris of Monterey, LA, and Cliff Hamilton and his wife Lea Ann of Monterey, LA. Those honoring him as pallbearers are Jeff Bairnsfather, Al Miller, Randy Knapp, Donnie Burley, Ben Brailler, Lane Dale, Trent Herman and Todd Barrington. He pursued education diligently and earned a bachelor's degree in Journalism from Louisiana State University in 1987. Throughout his life, Flavio had an insatiable thirst for knowledge and was always eager to learn new things.Flavio will be remembered for his kind and compassionate nature. He had a heart of gold and went out of his way to ensure the well-being of those around him. His infectious sense of humor brought joy to many, and his ability to lighten the mood was truly remarkable.In his free time, Flavio enjoyed watching LSU football on Saturdays and cheering for the Saints on Sundays. His love for sports was only surpassed by his love for spending quality time with his children. Family meant everything to Flavio, and he took great pride in teaching his children valuable life lessons, including passing down the secret recipe for his famous cornbread dressing during the holidays.Aside from sports and family time, Flavio had a diverse set of interests. He was passionate about fitness and dedicated himself to helping others achieve their health goals. On the dance floor, he shined with his love for salsa dancing while being serenaded by great music. In the kitchen, Flavio showcased his culinary skills by creating delicious meals and imparting his cooking wisdom to his children.Flavio is survived by his loving children Adrian Manrique and Isabella Manrique. He is predeceased by his dear mother Sonia Cotto Manrique, father Jose Manrique, and brother David Manrique. His memory will also be cherished by a host of other relatives and friends who were touched by his warmth and generosity.In conclusion, Flavio Eduardo Manrique lived a life full of zest, spreading joy wherever he went. She proudly worked as a driver in the transportation industry for many years. Rebecca had a small farm at home, a love for her dogs, and a passion for all animals (maybe not the pigs so much), naming each and every one of them. She treasured her family and adored being “Granny” to her grandchildren, who were the light of her world. She was the sweetest woman you could meet, but could be a firecracker when she needed to be! Cremation is under the direction of Church’s Funeral and Crematory in Baton Rouge, LA with a private family and friends celebration of life to be held at a later date.
