Natasha Nataweyous-Monias Obituary Natasha, 27, of Winnipeg, MB, was hit by a vehicle on the evening of Wednesday, November 22nd and was taken to hospital in critical condition. Shortly after midnight, in the early hours of Thursday, November 23, 2023, at the Health Sciences Center, Natasha succumbed to the injuries caused by the vehicle collision and journeyed into the Spirit World. The family is deeply saddened at the sudden and unexpected passing of Natasha, also known as Tash by family and close friends. Tash loved her children, her friends, and her family very much. Natasha was born on March 22, 1996, to parents Stephanie Monias and Nelson Nataweyous. Natasha was a very quiet person. She attended church with her dad, brothers, sisters, and her children almost every Sunday and enjoyed lunch meals with the other parishioners after the Sunday mass. Also, Tash attended church the Sunday, November 19th, the last Sunday, before her passing. Natasha graduated from high school and continued her studies and received a teacher assistant certificate, she wanted to further her post-secondary education and received her Bachelor of Education, but sponsorship fell through. She loved going for walks with her children and enjoyed attending their sports activities, such as Taekwondo tournaments. Tash trained in Taekwondo, as well. Just like her dad, Nelson. She leaves behind her beloved mom and dad Stephanie Monias and Nelson Nataweyous; her children Aubrey, Elijah and Qwayden; siblings Benoit, Trinity, Nash and Netanis; her paternal grandmother Celine Toutsaint; her uncle and aunts Charlene (Henry), Mark (Rita), Rueben, Harriet (Adrain), Joe Ben, Rose (John), Leon (Donna), Tamm, Leroy, Virginia and Wayne; cousins; Kendra, Raine, Shem, Chriselle, Constance, Quincy, Marcus, Brennan, Lilian, Justin, Pinar and Chasten ,Nathen, Timothy, Ramona, Joanne, Brandon, Valorie, Jolena, Claudia, Dene, Natalie, etc. ; friends Julie Moose, Amanda Kent, Kayla Wood, Curtis Monias and numerous others; her numerous cousins, nieces and nephews from Garden Hill, Lac Brochet, Prince Albert, Thompon and Winnipeg. Natasha was predeceased by maternal grandparents Oliver and Audrey Monias, who he was very close to; paternal grandfather Ben Nataweyous and cousin Owen Nataweyous. Family and friends are invited to the Wake on Monday, December 4, from 6:00 p. m. to 9:00 p. m. at Eternal Grace Funeral Home, 1111 Logan Ave, Winnipeg, Mb. and Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at St. Kateri Catholic Church on 265 Flora Ave, Winnipeg, MB. Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at 11:00 am at St. Kateri Catholic Church, 265 Flora Ave, followed by interment at Brookside Cemetery. Following the interment, we will gather back at Kateri Church for a celebratory feast. A special thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff of Health Sciences Centre for all the love and care Natasha received. Many thanks to the staff at Eternal Grace, Staff at St. Kateri church, Chief & Council of Northlands Dene First Nation: thank you for all who helped during this difficult time.
