Xi "Jesse" Chen, 53, of Andover, MA, passed away on Sunday, June 19, 2022. The son of the late Daochun Chen and Genmeng Liu, Jesse was born in Fuzhou, China on October 4, 1968. He graduated from Shanghai University and moved to the US in 1994 to pursue a master's degree at Wichita State University, Kansas. There, he met and married his beloved wife, Lian Liu, and moved to Massachusetts to start a family. Together, they would go on to raise three children. In the meantime, Jesse worked at Compumachine for 18 years,before moving on to GE Aviation where he became their Lead Manufacturing Engineer. Jesse was an active and passionate man who loved living life to its fullest. He enjoyed a wide variety of hobbies, from arranging backyard barbecues to exploring far-off cities. He was also well-read in many different fields, and would spend countless hours analyzing and contemplating any number of different topics that caught his eye. He was always ready to experience new things, and wanted nothing more than to see what the world had to offer, camera in hand. But more than anything else, Jesse loved the company of both friends and family. He was devoted to those he loved, and he will be missed by them every day. Jesse is survived by his loving wife of over 26 years, Lian, and their three children Mei, Kaiwen, and Meiling. He will also be missed by his younger brother Gong Chen and his wife Meichun, as well as their daughter Qiuyan.
