He is survived by his father, X'Zeal Laron Hudson and significant other Brittany Rorie; mother, Amy Rae Smith; brother, Zayden Smith; sister, Zaerriah King; great-grandparent, Linda Davidson; grandparents, Murtis Windham and Robert Smith; uncles, Ted Smith, Randy Smith, Joe Windham and J. R. "Drew" Windham; aunts, Tonie Williams and Bunnie Jefferson; close cousins, Honeyzti Jefferson and significant other Marcus Walker and Daedrius Jefferson and significant other Kelsey Christopher; Godmothers, Haeven Salthouse and Kandace Wilson. Shirley Ann (Johnson) Herschel Thompson went to be with the Lord on December 2, 2023, at Mercy Hospital in Ardmore, OK. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, December 11, 2023, in McAlister Cemetery with Reverend Steven Wall Officiating. Shirley was born on December 17, 1946 in Marietta, OK to Frank and Lavene (Brokeshoulder) Johnson. Shirley attended Marietta Public Schools from pt through 12th grades, graduating with the class of 1965. Upon graduation she moved to Dallas, TX to attend Draughons Business College, earning a secretarial degree. She later found employment with Recognition Equipment of Dallas. While living in Dallas, she met her first husband, Lonnie Herschel and to this union, her son Jay was born. After this marriage ended, she then moved back home to Marietta, where she worked for a short time with the Marietta Pants Factory. She was then employed with the Chickasaw Nation, where she was a CHR worker serving several counties. After her work with the Nation ended, she then embarked on a job with the Marietta DHS office for 7 years. She was employed for 5 years with Dollar General of Marietta and was also employed by WinStar Casinos in the call center, where she enjoyed making lifetime friends. Shirley will be remembered for her kind and friendly nature, always laughing, talking, reminiscing about good times. "Miss Shirley", as she was known to be called was also known as the "Pie Lady", for she had a talent for making fried pies and selling them to those who asked for them, and just to be able to socialize. Shirley was a proud member of the Mississippi Choctaw Tribe. She is survived by her husband, Edwin Thompson of the home; son, Jay Herschel of the home; sister Barbara Williams of Marietta; sisters-in-law Lorraine Johnson of Madill, OK, Andrea Johnson of Mead, OK, Virginia Johnson of Ardmore, and Barbara Lang of Fletcher, OK; a brother-in-law, Larry Scott of Ada, OK; and numerous nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Calvin, Jimmy, Ronnie, Billy and Kenneth Johnson; a sister Rita Scott; and a nephew, Russell Johnson. Serving as pallbearers will be her nephews, Spencer Davis, Lee Rackley, Ryan Johnson, Daniel Johnson, Jerome Morgan, and David Scott. Randall Britt Harvey was born July 18, 1962 in Irving, Texas to Jack and Billie McMullin Harvey. He was a good man with a great heart. His spirit and generosity inspired many throughout his life. Randy was a father, brother, uncle and son that lived for his family. He loved his sons fiercely and dreamed of dancing at their weddings. He sadly never got that chance as he passed away on November 24th 2023. Randy loved life and made the most of his time. He liked to skydive, snow ski, golf, travel, watch movies and sports. He was an avid reader who always knew what was going on in the world and always had an opinion. Randy never met a stranger and made friends wherever he went. People gravitated to his fun loving nature and lust for life. He loved family gatherings and being the center of family banter, especially with his sisters Jacci, Sandee and Julie. He was an excellent cook and was particularly proud of his gravy. He lived life by his own rules and had a magnetic personality that drew people in, leaving a lasting impression on those who had the privilege to know him. He was one of a kind, and it is difficult to imagine this world without him in it. Randy loved to work and he was good at it. Many of his friends and family benefited from his leadership in the construction industry. He would proudly talk about his work at Texas Motor Speedway, Omni Hotel FW, Tinker Air Force Base and countless others. He liked to brag that he built The Texas Giant at Six Flags. He was a deeply religious man and talked to God often. His faith and spiritual relationships guided him throughout his life and comforted him in his last days. Randy is survived in death by his sons Randon and Shane Harvey and countless other family and friends. He battled cancer and its effects bravely but ultimately succumbed with his closest loved ones at his side. A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, December 2nd at 1:00 p. m. at The Craddock Memorial Chapel in Ardmore. They say grief feels like having your heart broken open and of course that hurts, but it's also proof of love. Randy will be forever loved and dearly missed. Janice Yvonne Peery (Skaggs) went home to be with her Lord and Savior on November 19, 2023. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, November 30, 2023, in the Chapel at Griffin~Hillcrest Funeral Home. Services will conclude in the chapel. She was born in Ardmore, Oklahoma on December 4th , 1939, to Clyde and Lena Minter. Janice attended Plainview School where she graduated in 1957. While in high school she played basketball and made friends she would keep throughout her life. After graduating high school Janice married the love of her life, Larry Skaggs and was blessed with her daughter, Deborah and son, Scott just two years later. Janice was a loving mother and wife and loved being involved with her children's school events which led to her to becoming a secretary in the Ardmore school system for many years. Janice especially loved watching Scott play football for Plainview and attended all his football games. She loved the Lord with all her heart and attended the First Orthodox Baptist church and later the First Baptist of Ardmore. Janice raised the kids in church and made sure they attended all the weekly services. Janice was very gifted with creating many things for her home. She made her own curtains, many crafts and even learned upholstering to refinish chairs for her home. Janice was very much a southern lady and loved to be dressed in the most fashionable styles. After 31 years of marriage, Janice became a widow. She later met Jack Peery and was married and blessed to spend time traveling. In her later years Janice lived at the Assisted Living Center, The Lodge in Ardmore. While there she loved spending her days drinking diet cokes and watching old classics and religious programs and reading the Bible. She would call Scott to bring her diet cokes and treats which Scott faithfully delivered to her. Janice was blessed to spend her final days in the home of Scott and daughter in law Joni where she was lovingly cared for until her passing. Janice was preceded in death by her husband Larry Skaggs and daughter Deborah Yvonne DeLisle. She leaves behind her sister Barbara Fisher, her son Scott Skaggs and wife Joni. Granddaughter Jennifer Moehrle and husband Brian, and great grandchildren, Blayke and Jett. Grandaughter Kyrsten Levesque and husband Trevor and great granddaughter Eden. Johnnie Bradley Burchett was born April 21, 1931, to Willie Mae (Page) and John Jesse Burchett in Nida, Oklahoma. He passed from this life on November 21, 2023, at the age of 92. Johnnie was a graduate of Nida High School in the class of 1949 where he excelled in basketball. On December 21, 1951, he and Mary Christene "Chris" Kent were married in Durant, Oklahoma. Over the years Johnnie had fulfilling careers with Mead's Bread Company and Frito-Lay. He retired from Frito-Lay with 21 years and seven months of service. Johnnie and Chris made their home in Ardmore, where they raised their daughters, Latricia, Anita, Johnna, and Christi. They are members of First Baptist Church of Ardmore, where Johnnie and Chris were both active. Johnnie served as a deacon; was on the baptismal committee, a member of the sanctuary choir and charter member of the Keenage choir. Believing his land was a gift from God, Johnnie enjoyed gardening and the work it took to produce the best harvest. He did his part and left the rest to God. He and Chris enjoyed canning and freezing the fruits of their labor. Another daily joy every morning, was watching the birds outside their breakfast table window. Other interests included travel, and spending time with friends and family. The seeds of love they planted when they married almost 72 years ago, will continue to blossom in their children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Johnnie was preceded in death by his parents, John and Willie Mae Burchett; brother Curtis; sisters Loraine and Mattie; and infant daughter Annette Joan. He is survived by his wife Chris of 71 years; daughters Latricia Miller of San Antonio, Texas; Anita Chaney of Saginaw, Texas; Johnna Cathey and husband Craig of Verdigris, Oklahoma; and Christi Smith and husband Ron of Owasso, Oklahoma; grandchildren Erin Hamilton and husband Cory; Kyle Chaney and wife Jaime; Rick Miller and wife Brittani; Jared Cathey and Hilary Carden; Collin Smith and wife Fiona; Caitlin Bundy and husband Dylan; and great grandchildren Lyla, Emery, Adelynn, Bryson, Jocelyn, Cainan and Cali. Funeral Services are scheduled for Monday, November 27th at 1:00 p. m. at the Craddock Memorial Chapel with Dr. Alton Fannin officiating. John F Sullivan, lifelong resident of Ardmore, Oklahoma, passed from this life peacefully at his home in Ardmore, November 20, 2023, where he resided with his wife and companion, Stacy. A visitation will be held at the Craddock Funeral Home on Monday afternoon from 4:30 to 6:00. Memorial Services will be held at the First Methodist Church in Ardmore at 1:00 pm Tuesday. John was born September 18, 1948, son of Jack and Ruth (Pollock) Sullivan in Ardmore. He attended school in Ardmore, graduating from Ardmore High School in 1966, and continuing his education at Westminster College, serving as the president of SAE fraternity and graduating with a bachelor's degree in economics. John enlisted in the U. S. Army Reserve from 1970 to 1978, where he was promoted to the rank of captain. In 1971 John became employed by the Insurance Company of North America, acting as a Casualty Underwriter, which allowed him to learn the insurance trade. In 1974 he joined the family business, the Sullivan Insurance Agency. John's strong enthusiasm for business helped him to become instrumental in the development of two different banks in Southern Oklahoma, notably the First Community Bank of Lone Grove, where he served as a Board Director and President and what is now the American Nation Bank. Later on he served as Vice President of Clifton Planning, Inc. from 2011 to 2015. Johns's professional life included serving on several organizations including Ardmore Rotary International, Ardmore Chamber of Commerce, Ardmore Planning Commission, Ardmore Animal Care, Ardmore Tree Board, Oak Hall School, Crime Stoppers and HUD. He was also a long time member of the Elks Lodge. In the Insurance Industry, he served as a President of the Independent Insurance Agents of Ardmore, a president of the Associated Risk Managers, Associated Risk Managers agent of the year, a finance/bond consultant for Oklahoma Aerospace Contracting Assistance Center, and Central Oklahoma CPCU Chapter, winning their insurance service Award. John also made time for recreation and truly enjoyed his friends and family and fellowship with all. In earlier days he was a player on the Men's Softball Team, The Mullets, and was an inspiration to keep the team playing. He was a strong supporter and proponent of Ardmore building a new softball complex and was extremely proud his team, the Mullets, could play the first game under the lights at the new stadium, competing against the OG&E team. John led a full and eventful life, and is survived by his loving wife, Stacy; son John Bernard Sullivan of Austin, Tx; daughter, Lena F. Treanor and husband Joe of Ardmore, Justin Arledge of Ardmore; sister, Mary Jane Zumwalt of Ardmore; granddaughter, Jillian Kate Arledge, Carter Ann Arledge and Jaqueline Sloan Treanor of Ardmore. Carol Lee Resneder was born November 26, 1941, to Pearl White and Harry Taylor in Narrowsburg, NY. She passed from this life on November 14, 2023 at the age of 81. Carol was a graduate of Narrowsburg Central High School in the class of 1959. She graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1979, with her Bachelor of Science in Home Economics, and then received her Master's Degree from East Central University. On 13 December 1999 she married Patrick Resneder and will now and forever be together at rest. Carol retired from the State of Oklahoma as a dietician. They moved to Ardmore 2017 and became members of the First Methodist Church. Carol was skilled at knitting and did so whenever she had a chance. She loved her family and spending time with them. Carol was preceded in death by her parents Harry and Pearl Taylor; her husband Patrick Resneder; and several siblings. She is survived by her sons Eric Davis and his wife Rhonda of Ottawa, KS, J. D. Davis and his wife Rinna of Ewa Beach, HI, and Edward Davis of Ardmore, OK; daughter Roxanne Howell and her husband David of Temple, TX; brothers Jeffery Taylor and Ray "Butch" Taylor; sister Joy Bertsch; and 9 grandchildren. Graveside services are scheduled for Monday, November 20th at 11:00 a. m. at Hobart Rose Cemetery in Hobart, OK with Dr. David Daniel officiating.
