Wyatt Ray Eaves-Nibert, 10, of Point Pleasant, WV, passed away September 10, 2023, in Point Pleasant, WV. He was born June 17, 2013, in Point Pleasant, WV, a son of Franklin Scott Eaves of Gallipolis Ferry, WV and Adrienne Dawn (Jason) Nibert of Point Pleasant, WV. He was a 5th grade student at Roosevelt Elementary School, Point Pleasant, WV. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, wrestling, heavy metal music and anything to do with the military. Survivors in addition to his parents include his brother, Remington Merrill Eaves of Point Pleasant; sisters, Emma Devin Eaves of Point Pleasant; grandfather and grandmother Jon W. Nibert and Sheila Ann Long, Martha Eaves; great-grandparents, Robin Marie Nibert, John and Emma Long, Thelma Eaves; great-great grandmother, Linda Nibert. He was preceded in death by his grandfather Delmar Cook. Service arrangements are pending. Visitation and funeral service times will be posted as soon as they are available. Constance Louise "Connie" Lear Rohr, age 76, of Kingwood, formerly of Point Pleasant, WV, passed away, Friday, November 17, 2023, at Kingwood Healthcare Center. She was born December 21, 1946, in Point Pleasant, WV, a daughter of the late Virgil Edwards and Ruby G. (Holcomb) Edwards Allinder. Her husband, James Michael Rohr, survives of Kingwood, they were united in marriage October 17, 1995. In addition to her husband she is survived by: three children, Angie Tracy, of Jackson, OH, Danny Lear, of Gallapolis Ferry, WV, and Rusty Lear and wife Rachel, of Laurelville, OH; 16 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and one brother Mike Edwards and wife Marie, of Point Pleasant, WV. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one brother, Charles Sayre. In following with her wishes cremation services were honored. Charles "Chuck" Dennis Thevenir, 64, Crown City, Ohio passed away Monday, September 18, 2023 in the River Health Emergency Room, Point Pleasant, West Virginia. Chuck was born May 7, 1959 at Gallipolis, Ohio, son of the late Gus Thevenir and Jewell Waugh-Halley. A retired truck driver, he was an avid fisherman, spending all of his free time on the water. He leaves behind two sons: Rocky Thevenir, Bidwell, Ohio and Dustin Thevenir, Crown City, Ohio; sisters and brothers: Lea (Andy) Hout, Gallipolis, Ohio; James (Linda) Thevenir, Bidwell, Ohio; Anita Hoffman, Cleveland, Ohio; Retha (Trent) Canter, Vinton, Ohio and Allen (Alicia) Newhart, Brooksville, Florida; several nieces, nephews and friends, including special friends Jack Adams, Mikey Waugh and Eddie Butler. Robert L. "Rob" Kasee, 61, of Point Pleasant, West Virginia passed away on Sunday, September 3, 2023 at his residence. Rob was born on September 18, 1961 in Orlando, Florida, son of the late Frederick and Mary Paxton Kasee. Rob worked with Goody's Contracting and served in the West Virginia National Guard. He loved to play the guitar and enjoyed being a jokester; all the kids loved him. He is survived by three sisters, Deb (Roy) Frazier of Gallipolis, Ohio, Lisa Kasee of Point Pleasant, and Amanda Clonch of Bidwell, Ohio; four brothers, Chuck (Stephanie) Kasee of Gallipolis, John (Bonita) Kasee of Point Pleasant, David Kasee (Cindy Richardson) of Point Pleasant, and Richie Clonch of Bidwell; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Kimberly McGuiness, Donna Wittmaack, and Amy Kasee. A Celebration of Life for Rob will be held at the convenience of his family.Show more

Emmett Charles "Charlie" Snyder, Jr. , 89, of Spencer, WV gained his heavenly wings at Stonerise Nursing Home in Belmont, WV on August 31, 2023 He was born June 16, 1934 the son of the late Emmett and Geneieve Carpenter Snyder of Point Pleasant, WV. He served his country in the U. S. Army with the 11 Airborne division as a paratrooper with good conduct. He was a 50-year member of the American Legion Post 21, where he was Post Commander for 17 years; and was a member of the VFW 5959. Charlie was a member of the Roane County Gun Club, where he received several awards for excellent marksmanship. He retired from Constellium rolled Products in Ravenswood, WV with 38 years of service. He was a faithful member of Faith Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, John (Sarah) Snyder, Kay (Alan) Brant, Glen Brannon, Anna Jane (Jack) Phillips, Nancy (Paul) Webb and Barbara Schoyen; and his hunting and fishing buddy, his grandson, Gary Nicholson. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Helen Smith Snyder; sons, David (Debbie) Snyder, Jim (Pam) Snyder both of Spencer; daughter, Sarah Beth (Ed) Nicholson of Spencer and Charlotte (Randy) Clark of Ona, WV; brother-in-law, James Schoyen of Texas; six grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Lonnie McClellan, 86, of Point Pleasant, West Virginia, passed away at 4:10 a. m. Monday, June 19, 2023 at his residence. Born August 20, 1936 in Wayne County, West Virginia he was the son of the late John and Mae Fry McClellan. Lonnie was a self-employed logger and asphalt paver. He was an active harness racer. Lonnie is survived by his wife, Cathy Knapp McClellan, his daughters, Debra McClellan, of Jackson, Ohio, Jodie Shawkey, of McArthur, Ohio, Lonette (Cory) Adkins, of Texas and Lona Sue Hardemon, of McArthur, Ohio, his sons, Darrell (Connie) McClellan, of Circleville, Ohio, Daniel McClellan, of Oak Hill, Ohio, Lonnie McClellan II, of McArthur, Ohio and Lucian (Cathy) McClellan, of Lancaster, Ohio. Thirteen grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren also survive as does one brother, Johnnie (Margaret) McClellan, of East Lynn, West Virginia. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Michelle McClellan, sisters, Sarah Frances Jackson, Marie Lycans, Beatrice Kucera, Ethel Mae Harkolivich, Georgia Vanhoose, Virgie England and Melinda Irene Maynard. David married the love of his life, Coleen Murphy Smith September 3, 1977 in Akron, Ohio and she precedes him September 28, 2022. He is survived by children Lee (Jill), Atlanta, Georgia; Shane (Alma), Grantville, Georgia; Clint (Tiffany), Seattle, Washington; Samantha (Scott), Vinton, Ohio and Ian (Sarah), Jefferson, Georgia; grandchildren, Austin, Payge, Halie, John, Jake, Isabel, Adam, Rylie, Solomon, Matilda and Bodhi; great-grandchildren, Oliver and Amelia and brother, Bob (Susan) Grebelsky. David Lloyd "Stub" Rhodes, 77 of Point Pleasant, WV, passed away February 9, 2023 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington, WV, following an extended illness. He was born March 5, 1945 in Cottageville, WV the son of the late Jesse James and Ethel Marie (McDonough) Rhodes. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sons, Patrick Rhodes and David L. Rhodes, Jr. ; brothers, Daniel K. "Pete" Rhodes, Jimmy Brown Rhodes and Arnold F. "Sam" Rhodes; sisters, Maggie Hackney and Emily Jane "Toots" Little; several nieces and nephew including his "favorite" niece, Donna Friend and his ex-wife, Sharon (Wolfenbarger) Rhodes. David was a former farm worker for Pinnell & Post and later became a deck hand for M & G Towing, Balworth River and CNC Towing. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and square dancing.
