Wyatt Ray Eaves-Nibert, 10, of Point Pleasant, WV, passed away September 10, 2023, in Point Pleasant, WV. He was born June 17, 2013, in Point Pleasant, WV, a son of Franklin Scott Eaves of Gallipolis Ferry, WV and Adrienne Dawn (Jason) Nibert of Point Pleasant, WV. He was a 5th grade student at Roosevelt Elementary School, Point Pleasant, WV. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, wrestling, heavy metal music and anything to do with the military. Survivors in addition to his parents include his brother, Remington Merrill Eaves of Point Pleasant; sisters, Emma Devin Eaves of Point Pleasant; grandfather and grandmother Jon W. Nibert and Sheila Ann Long, Martha Eaves; great-grandparents, Robin Marie Nibert, John and Emma Long, Thelma Eaves; great-great grandmother, Linda Nibert. He was preceded in death by his grandfather Delmar Cook. Service arrangements are pending. Visitation and funeral service times will be posted as soon as they are available. Arrangements are under the care of Foglesong-Casto Funeral Home, Mason, WV.

Emmett Charles "Charlie" Snyder, Jr. , 89, of Spencer, WV gained his heavenly wings at Stonerise Nursing Home in Belmont, WV on August 31, 2023 He was born June 16, 1934 the son of the late Emmett and Geneieve Carpenter Snyder of Point Pleasant, WV. He served his country in the U. S. Army with the 11 Airborne division as a paratrooper with good conduct. He was a 50-year member of the American Legion Post 21, where he was Post Commander for 17 years; and was a member of the VFW 5959. Charlie was a member of the Roane County Gun Club, where he received several awards for excellent marksmanship. He retired from Constellium rolled Products in Ravenswood, WV with 38 years of service. He was a faithful member of Faith Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, John (Sarah) Snyder, Kay (Alan) Brant, Glen Brannon, Anna Jane (Jack) Phillips, Nancy (Paul) Webb and Barbara Schoyen; and his hunting and fishing buddy, his grandson, Gary Nicholson. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Helen Smith Snyder; sons, David (Debbie) Snyder, Jim (Pam) Snyder both of Spencer; daughter, Sarah Beth (Ed) Nicholson of Spencer and Charlotte (Randy) Clark of Ona, WV; brother-in-law, James Schoyen of Texas; six grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Services will be 2:00 P. M. ~ Sunday, September 3, 2023 at Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home in Spencer with Pastor Justin Simmons officiating with burial to follow at Clover Ridge Cemetery in Roane County, WV. Visitation will be Saturday evening from 5:00-7:00 P. M. at the funeral and one hour prior to the service on Sunday.
