With heavy hearts filled with love we announce the death of 67 year old Kenneth Eugene Glaze Coley of Wetumpka, AL. Ken was born in Montgomery, AL on March 24, 1956 and raised in the Prattville area. Ken has left his footprint across Alabama and Louisiana as a contractor, skilled painter, and builder. A devout Alabama Crimson Tide super-fan, father, grandfather, husband, son, brother, cousin & friend. He transitioned home to be with the light of the world in the early morning hours on November 23, 2023, in his earthly home surrounded by those he loved.
He was preceded in death by his father; John Coley; mother, Betty Sue Singleton; grandmother, Lela Coley Barber; and beloved Mini Jack Russell Terrier, Missy. He is survived by his wife, Donna Mitchell and her children, Amanda Broome, Darrell Mitchell (BJ), & Cindy Riley (Kevin) alongside 7 grandchildren-in-love and 1 great-grandchild; daughter, Noel Andrus (Brad); grandchildren, Izaiah, Leila, & Ollie; Sister, Cindy Shaw (Jerry); Brothers, Ricky Wagner (Melissa) & Jay Coley (Tracy); Cherished Yorkie, Penny; and a multitude of wonderful nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and family.
The Funeral Ceremony & celebration to honor the life of Ken will be held on Sunday, November 26, 2023. Visitation will begin at 12:30 pm, followed by the funeral service at 1:30 pm at Gassett Funeral Home, 204 E. Charles Ave. , Wetumpka, AL 36092, led by Associate Pastor Robbie Stewart and his loving family. His body will be laid to rest at Kaylor Cemetery in Tallassee.
Pallbearers will be Izaiah Ingram, Jay Coley, Ricky Wagner, John Shaw, Jay Shaw, Darrell Mitchell. Christian Mitchell, & James Britton.Show more
