Passed away peacefully at his residence on Monday, October 2, 2023 at the age of 85, surrounded by family. Cherished husband of Carmen, to whom he was married for 60 years. Loving father of Elaine, Donna, Winston, Debby, and Leon, and father in law to their spouses, Andrew, Michael, Tanya, Neil, and Mona. He will be fondly remembered by his grandchildren and great grandchildren whom he loved dearly. Loving Big Brother to Clement Hall (Uncle Tony). Predeceased by his parents Leonard and Adeline Hall, brothers Bandy and Trevor, sisters Doris, Joyce, Marie, and Sadie, and granddaughter Ashley. Winston was a welder and paint sprayer by trade, a counselor and educator to his family and many of their friends, a beautiful singer, a great dancer, and he loved life and lived it to the fullest. Special thank you to all who have come from near and far to help the family heal, to remember Winston, and to bid him farewell. Cremation has taken place. A private gathering will be held at a later date. Passed away peacefully at the Milton District Hospital on Monday, November 27, 2023. Survived by nieces Tammy, Tara (Jason), Tracey, Dorothy (Don), Lisa (Scott); and nephews Rich (Barb), Dave, Mike (Treena), Jeff (Robbie), Chris (Rachael) and Dan. Loved and cherished by her great-nieces and nephews whom she spent as much time as possible with. Also survived by her brother Ken Kirk, and sisters-in-law Susan Kirk and Kathy Kirk. Biological mother to Ed Roach and Becky Larmer. Predeceased by her parents Reta (Haug) and Arthur Kirk; sisters Ruthann (Richard) Holm and Bernice (Robert) MacDonald and brother Brian Kirk. Darlene was hard working throughout her life, working almost up to the age of 70. She was loved and admired at work, known as "Mama Bear" by her fellow co-workers. She loved sitting outside watching the ongoings in the neighbourhood and talking to various neighbours as they walked by. Her love of Hallmark Christmas movies and the Christmas season was well-known. She enjoyed knitting when she could, as well as working on puzzles. Special thanks to the nurses and doctors at Milton District Hospital for their special care over the last little while, ensuring Darlene stayed comfortable and well taken care of. Thank you to her extended family and friends for the many visits, gifts, flowers and constant prayers. Cremation has taken place. A private family service will be held at a later date.
