Wilmar John Richard Jr. departed this life into God's presence on Thursday, October 5, 2023 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, at the age of 79. He was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on February 4, 1944 to Wilmar John Richard Sr. and Nelva Brignac Richard. After high school, Wilmar went on to obtain his Bachelor's degree and had a successful career as an Operations Manager in the chemical industry. He and his wife, Diane, retired to Carriere where Wilmar enjoyed hunting, fishing, feeding his fish and watching hummingbirds. He is preceded in death by his parents, Wilmar and Nelva Richard. Left to forever cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 59 years, Diane Richard and his loving son, Rene' Richard. A memorial service, officiated by Pastor Dan Young, will be held at Roseland Park Baptist Church on Wednesday, October 11, 2023 at 11:00am.

Kaitlyn Simone Clark was born January 28, 2005, in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, to Francis and Malcolm Clark. On Sunday, December 3, 2023, she transitioned to her heavenly home to live in glory with her beloved Savior. Kaitlyn's early education years began at Howard Christian Center and Sacred Heart Catholic School. She was a well-rounded student who actively participated in academic, athletic, community, social, civic, and church groups throughout her middle and high school years. Kaitlyn was a 2023 graduate of Oak Grove High School. A college scholarship recipient, she was a current and engaged member of the freshman class at The University of Southern Mississippi. Kaitlyn was actively involved in the arts throughout her life. She was a devoted member of Stage Struck Performance Studio and the Dance Place where she was crowned cover girl on several occasions. Kaitlyn served as a self-advocacy ambassador for Transition of Teens to Adult Life (TOTAL), where she mentored youth and young adults with disabilities. Kaitlyn was a member of New Seasons Family Worship Center, Delta Academy/Delta Gems and IHC. Kaitlyn was preceded in death by her uncle, Victor Bowman, and her lovable fur baby, Tyler. Evelyn Coleman Keyes, 93, went to be with the Lord Friday, December 1, 2023, at Bedford Care Center in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Evelyn Coleman was born on April 26, 1930, to James F. Coleman and Gladys E. Coleman. She was raised in Jackson, Mississippi, and was a graduate of Forest Hill High School. After raising her children, she went to work for Lifeway Christian Bookstores where she retired. Evelyn enjoyed handcrafts, adored her cats, gave of herself through volunteer work, and loved feeding hummingbirds on her back patio while spending time with her family. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Clinton, Mississippi for more than 50 years. Evelyn married the love of her life, John William Keyes, who was stationed at Keesler Air Force Base, on June 4, 1950. They had five children, 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 50 years, John W. Keyes; a son, Robert E. Keyes; siblings, James F. Coleman, Jr. , Marjorie Coker, Robert F. Coleman, and Annette Schimpf. She is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Donna Frost (Monta) of New Waverly Texas; son, John (Bill) William Keyes, Jr. (Consuelo) of Joplin, Missouri; son, Jeffrey Keyes (MaryDean) of Hattiesburg, Mississippi; son, Russell Keyes (Kwannet) of Lake Wales, Florida; grandchildren, Todd, Jonathan, Kristina, and Katherine Frost; Matthew, Michael, and Mitchell Keyes; Sinclair, Araya, and Mali Keyes; great grandchildren, Quinten Frost; Malachi, Leighanne, and Elijah Franco. He was a member of the Ellisville Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding motorcycles until a stroke limited his abilities. Mary Amelia Scott "Nena" Price, 73, died November 12, 2023 at Merit Wesley Hospital in Hattiesburg. A Service of Death and Resurrection was held at Main Street United Methodist Church in Hattiesburg with the Reverend Amy Roller and the Reverend Marion Fortner officiating on November 17, 2023. A graveside service will be held at 2 PM (EST) on Sunday, December 3, 2023 at the Marseilles Cemetery, West Point, Georgia. Nena is the daughter of the late William Henry Scott, Jr. and the late Eleanor Davis Scott of West Point, Georgia. She is survived by her husband, the Reverend David Sterling Price of Hattiesburg, Mississippi; three daughters, Rebecca Price MacLeod (Sean) of Seattle, Washington, Sarah Price Shirai of Buford, Georgia, and Susan Price Lavender (Bruce) of Poughkeepsie, New York; four granddaughters, Margaret Cecile Dawson, Alexis Eleanor Dawson, Mary Grace Shirai, and Emily Kenna MacLeod; and one grandson, Sterling Price Shirai; one brother, William Henry "Bill" Scott, III (Martha) of West Point, Georgia; and one sister, Margaret Scott Rollison (Fred) of Greenville, South Carolina. She was born in Langdale, Alabama on March 19, 1950. As a seventh-generation United Methodist growing up in the First United, Methodist Church of West Point, she relocated to Southern Mississippi after marrying David Price, a United Methodist minister. Nena holds degrees from Brenau University and the University of Southern Mississippi where she obtained a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology. Nena and David shared a life of ministry for fifty-two years as they made homes in several South Mississippi towns, which include Pascagoula, Gulfport, McComb, Hattiesburg, and Meridian. She was his steady example of Christian values and commitment. An intelligent individual with an introspective and inquisitive nature, Nena was a lifelong student with a commitment to furthering a deep, contemplative relationship with God. These combined pursuits brought deep and abiding friendships. She was an exemplar and teacher throughout her life, particularly for those seeking to develop a meaningful life of prayer and spiritual growth. She regarded her time with friends and traveling with them to Ireland and the Taize Community in France, as some of her richest experiences and highest points in her faith journey. Nena was a loving and caring mother and grandmother. She was very proud that all three of her daughters left the nest to build independent lives for themselves in Seattle, New York, and Georgia. She loved visiting Rebecca and her family in Seattle which became her "West Coast home. " She cherished her visits to Georgia with Sallie and her children, and some of her best memories included cooking classes and fine dining with her daughter Susan, a culinary professional. Dandre "Peanut" Lamond Ducksworth was born on February 7, 1998 in Pensacola, Florida and moved to Collins, Mississippi at an early age. He was the son of Jennifer Ducksworth and Felix McCullum, Sr. Early on, "Peanut" developed a love for riding four wheelers and playing football. His love for football eventually helped him to be an the Collins High School Tigers to back to back state championships in 2014 and 2015. Peanut was a 2016 graduate of Collins High School. After graduating, Peanut followed his lifelong dream of becoming a truck driver, just like his dad, uncles, Paw Paw, and other family members. He enrolled in and completed the KLLM Trucking School. Upon graduation from KLLM and obtaining his CDLs, he accepted a job with that company. Peanut was most recently employed with Powell Transportation. He could be reached on the CB radio under his handle "2-Step. " His pastimes include riding and racing four-wheelers, singing and dancing, and spending time with his family and friends. On November 22, 2023, David Andrew Kerley of Hattiesburg, Mississippi peacefully passed away surrounded by his loving family. David was born in Thibodaux, Louisiana on May 8, 1963, to Joseph Andrew and Lucy Yvonne Kerley, attended St Genevieve Elementary and graduated from Thibodaux High School and Tennessee Technical College in Nashville, Tennessee. David was the adoring husband of Robyn Daigle Kerley, of Thibodaux, Louisiana; Loving father of Payton Kerley of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, and stepfather to Chet (Michelle) Toups of Thibodaux, Louisiana, and grandfather to Emmie, all of whom he loved with all his heart. He was a sibling of Gary (Helen) Kerley, Julie (Marion) Steib, and Belinda Sternfels. David was loved by his extended family: Francis (Betty Jean) Daigle, Elizabeth (Mike) Hebert, Jennifer (Chad) Legendre, Rachel (Nick) Terracina. David was esteemed by his many nieces and nephews, especially Cameron Joseph Steib, and many cousins. David was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Andrew, and brothers, Ronald and Randy Kerley. David was passionate in his role as Senior Transmission Manager and was employed by Entergy Transfer for many years. David was known for his extensive love for his family, compassion for others and his work ethic. David will be especially remembered as a caring person, not afraid to offer his thoughts in any situation, and a true friend to many. Danny worked for many years at Sunbeam and SAIC. He was a past president of the Petal Lions Club and the past president of the Activities Corporation for the Lions of Mississippi. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ottis and Jean Jones; step-mother, Mary Alice Pullen-Jones; and wife, Alice Marie Dearman-Jones.
