Born February 4, 1940 in Sand Beach, he was a son of the late William K. and Lillian (Ricker) Wagner and also preceded in death by siblings Nathaniel Ricker, Robert Wagner, George Wagner, and Linda Gillies. He retired as a mechanic from Maguire's Ford and was a Vietnam War U. S. Army veteran. Karl enjoyed working on cars and tractors, riding snowmobiles and motorcycles, and telling stories. Surviving are his wife of almost 52 years Ellen L. (Webster) Wagner; children William K. Wagner, Jr. (Nancy) of Hershey, Craig A. Wagner (Jody) of Hershey, Darrin M. Wagner (Heather) of Harrisburg, and Lisa L. Crater (Shawn) of Harrisburg; sister Janet Hoy of Palmyra; and eight grandchildren Tyler, Kali (Anthony), Emily, Hayden, Hannah, Chloe, Weston, and Mason. A funeral service will be held 11:30 AM Thursday, January 5, 2023 at Buse Funeral Home, 145 North Grant Street, Palmyra preceded by a viewing from 10:30 AM. Private interment, with military honors, in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
