Carolyn Frances Kratzer, 84, passed away on February 21, 2024 in Tampa, Florida. She was the wife of Marion Huls of Basco, Illinois, sharing 65 years of marriage together. Born in Schuyler County, Missouri, on September 19, 1939, she was the daughter of Oswald and Maud Madeline Kratzer. She attended high school in Warsaw, Illinois and later earned her associate degree at Central Texas College (CTC) in Killeen, Texas. Carolyn held various administrative positions in Heidelberg, Germany and at CTC where she eventually retired. Carolyn grew up on her family’s farm, one of seven children and was primarily responsible for raising her four younger brothers. Carolyn and Marion met in high school and were immediately inseparable. They married July 12, 1958 and eventually settled in Copperas Cove, Texas where they raised their family. She is survived by her husband, Marion, her four children, Ricky Huls of Waxahachie, Dawn Merrell of Tampa, FL, Michael (Rita) Huls of Killeen, TX, and Dana (Chris) Ware of Austin, TX; eight grandchildren, Amy Toledo, Phalen (Terry) Redmond, Garrett (Adriana) Huls, Natalie (Cavan) Cardenas, Trevor Huls, Kyle (Samantha) Huls, Chelsea (Matt) Cranfill, Shelby Ware, and nine great-grandchildren, Tres Toledo, Ellie Redmond, Karter Christopher Ware, Eli Maverick Walker, Rio Huls, Madison and Noah Cranfill, Camille and Charles Cardenas, Josephine and Diego Huls, one brother, Jack (Jean) Kratzer of Ft. Madison, MO, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, and five of her six brothers Gene, Larry, Chuck, Tim and Jim. Carolyn was an active, involved mother and dedicated wife of an Army Vietnam soldier. Carolyn and Marion were devout Lutherans and raised their family at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Copperas Cove, Texas. Carolyn held many positions in the Ladies Aid, and after retirement became active in The Copperas Cove Garden Club and AARP. She also volunteered at the local elementary schools reading to children. Her great love was the Red Hatter’s organization where she spent many years making wonderful friends and traveling with her companions. Carolyn loved the Dallas Cowboys. She was a member of their fan club, posting frequently about her take on the game and never missing a game. Visitation will be held at Crawford Bowers Funeral Home at 211 W Avenue B, Copperas Cove on Friday, March 8, 2024 from 6-8 PM. Funeral services will be held at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 922 Lutheran Church Road, Copperas Cove on Saturday, March 9, 2024 at 11 AM. A meal will be served by the Immanuel Lutheran Ladies Aid immediately following the service. Burial will take place at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery at 11463 TX-195, Killeen, Texas on Monday, March 11, 2024.

He was a devoted father, son, brother, and friend. Anthony is survived by his son, Justin E. Sarria, his mother, Sonia M. Freyre, his father, Angel A. Sarria, his sister, Lydia J. Sarria, his brother, Angelo O. Sarria, and his sister, Sonia Y. Sarria. Anthony proudly served in the Army, demonstrating his unwavering commitment to his country. His military associations were an integral part of his life and shaped him into the remarkable person he became. His remains are interred at Bay Pines National Cemetery in St. Petersburg, Florida March 18, 2024 at 2:00PM with the military honors due to him. In honoring Anthony's memory, let us remember his love, strength, and the joy he brought to those around him. After the military funeral ceremony, the family met at Ivonne Hernandez's house for a repast to reminisce, celebrate, and honor Anthony's life. Hanna Avenue, Tampa, Florida.Margaret Peterson Long was born on February 9, 1937, in Valdosta, Georgia to the late Mr. Joseph Cox, Jr. and Ms. Mae Retha Gardner Coley. She attended Pinevale School in Valdosta, GA. At the age of 18, she moved to Tampa, Florida, making it her permanent residence. With her radiant smile and beauty, she touched the lives of so many people across the world. She was a model, an Eastern Star, a servant, a role model, and an Educator of life. Her talk aligned up with her walk. She retired from Hillsborough County Public Schools Transportation department, where she served for 33 years as a Bus Driver.She served faithful at Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church for over 50 years under the leadership of the late Reverend Dr. C. P. Epps working in numerous ministries from: Sunday School teacher, Financial and Kitchen Committee, Sr. Women, Pastor Aide and Transportation ministry, Deaconess board and Usher board, and Director over the Youth Choir. She was a current member of New Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist, under the leadership of Pastor Larry Roundtree II.She was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Joseph Cox, Sr., and Sara Cox ; father, Joseph Cox, Jr.; maternal grandparents, Willie Gardner and Anna Williams Gardner; mother, Mae Retha Coley; sisters, Thelma Rhodes and Margie Price; son, Freddie Roberts, Sr. and goddaughter, LaShawn Wilson-Likourgos. Her passion was cooking as she was affectionately known as “The EggRoll Queen”. She was preceded in death by: her father, Willie C.
