William M. "Bill" Fanslow, 70, of Anna, Ohio passed away on Sunday, November 26, 2023 at Dublin Methodist Hospital, in Dublin, Ohio. Bill was born on September 3, 1953 in Oak Park, Illinois to the late William Fanslow and the late Evangeline (Laraia) Fanslow. Bill's early years were spent in elementary education, enjoying scouting, developing an interest in train sets, and discovering his love for pets, including his dog Little Bit, in Rolling Meadows, Illinois. He enjoyed football and began his massive lifetime car collection prior to graduation from Forest View High School in Arlington Heights, Illinois, and thereafter attended Harper College. Bill spent the majority of his professional career in the field of Information Technology and with the focus concentrated in Manufacturing. Over the years, Bill worked his way up to managerial positions. He was responsible to develop the project scope, cost estimates, human resource requirements, work plan, time schedules, communication plans and make work assignments to meet project or program objectives. Bill took a lot of pride in his work and was always willing to help others to ensure the success of the project. His ability to focus upon a company's manufacturing issues and turn the company around to operate profitability earned him the title of ERP Project Manager. Bill's hard work, high energy level (perhaps due to the always nearby can of Rock Star) afforded him the opportunity to have numerous collectibles throughout his life, most notably his car collection. He was a diehard Chevy power man. Two things he thought you could never have too much of were cars and horsepower. If he thought the car was a good buy, it was coming home with him one way or another. In addition to his parents, Bill is preceded in death by his sister, Linda Fanslow Martin and his three precious pet children, Ginger, Amy and Anna. Bill is survived by his wife, Annie Fanslow; stepdaughters, Wendy Lemon and Brittany Claar; sister, Kathy (Randy) Seibert; nieces, Andrea, Madison, Elizabeth and Jaime; nephew, Christopher; the sunshine of his day, his 13 year old Shih Tzu, Kristy; and there are many cousins and friends included in his family dynamic of love and support. Ohio family and friends will be received from 1 to 3 p. m. on Sunday, December 3, 2023 at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home, Sidney, Ohio. Illinois family and friends will be received from 11 a. m. to 1 p. m. on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at Kahle Moore Funeral Home, 403 Silver Lake Road, Cary, Illinois. A funeral service will follow visitation at the funeral home at 1:00 p. m. with Pastor Justin Diamond officiating. Interment will follow at Windridge Memorial Park in Cary, Illinois. Bill would request any preferred memorials be made to the organizations for which he was so passionate, St. Jude Children's Hospital or the ASPCA.
