William “Billy” Kesterson, of Mohawk, passed peacefully on Monday at his home with his wife of 68 years, Sara “Pigeon” Kesterson by his side. He was the owner and mechanic of Kesterson Service Center in Mohawk for 26 years. He was an avid racecar driver where he competed on many Nascar tracks. He enjoyed working on cars and watching his grandchildren play sports. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children and spouses: Donna & Robert Thornburg and Bob & Sharon Kesterson both of Mohawk; five grandchildren and spouses: Wendi & Don Armstrong of Afton, Brandi & Junior McIntosh of Belize, Central America, Brian & Traci Kesterson of Mohawk, Dennis & Tarah Kesterson of Bristol, TN, and Curtis Anderson of Mohawk; nine great-grandchildren: Sierra & Christian Burleson, Morgan & Allen Tolliver, Austin, Lexi, & Easton Anderson, Austin Thompson, Sarah Love & Bayne Kesterson all of Mohawk, and Marcie Kesterson of Bristol, TN. ; and three great-great-grandchildren: Adalyn, Aden,. . .
