"Ray Myers went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, in Tuscaloosa, Alabama at the age of 93. Ray was born in Robert, LA, to the late Rody and Nettie Breland Myers. Ray was a longtime resident of Covington, LA, and retired as a Sales Executive in the Oil Field Equipment industry, working with wellhead and subsea systems. He was well respected for his logic and outgoing kindness. He proudly served his country in the U S Army during the Korean War. Ray was a fun-loving, gentle man who loved a good joke. He was a loving provider who looked after his parents, sisters, nieces, nephews, and immediate family. He was a godly man known as a man of prayer. Ray is survived by his loving wife, Betty Myers; his sister, Daisy Myers Magee; his children, Patricia \u0026quot;Pat\u0026quot; Cobb (Keary), Kay Geno (Ed), and Randall "Randy" Myers; his grandchildren, Jana Cobb, Jeremy Cobb, Matthew Geno, Irina Geno, Stormy Williams, and Grace Myers: his great-grandchildren, Izabella and Addison Williams and Dara and Levi Geno. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rody and Nettie Myers, and his siblings, Ottis Myers, Eunice Stevens, Lois Bernard, Evonne Fairburn, and Bernice Terrell. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service on Monday, December 4, 2023, at 11:00 AM at E J Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, LA, with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM until service time.
