Pharaoh Skye Williams

Born : Feb 23, 1979

location-icon

Bowie, TX

Pharaoh Skye Williams was born to Grady White and Deidra Williams at Mount Sinai Hospital on February 23, 1979. He grew up with his older sister, Tonya, younger brother, Isaac, and nephew, Chris. His cousins and neighborhood friends were always around as well. During his time at CPE and CPESS, he became a serious basketball player. He had many friends and acquaintances due to his quiet personality and smile. Skye was a trendsetter and loved nice things. He enjoyed shopping for new clothes and kicks that no one else had. He also had a love for cars. A family favorite story is when Tonya bought a new car but didn’t know how to drive, Skye was supposed to just move the car from side to side. One day Tonya was coming home from work (by train) and saw Skye driving her car towards her. Skye was a fearless risk-taker, which worked in his favor. He lived by asking for forgiveness instead of asking for permission. Skye was a free-spirited individual who spoke his mind when he had something to say. In July 1997, Skye met Chantel Jackson, and their union gave birth to their daughter, baby Skye, on January 23, 2002. Skye was instrumental in her becoming a successful entrepreneur and successful choreographer. Baby Skye was his pride and joy. Skye secured several employment positions, beginning with the Board of Elections, Concourse Village, and like his daughter, he was an entrepreneur with his own car service, which he named Skye Class Car Service. But if you knew Skye, you knew his passion for cannabis; he could have taught a course on it. Skye met Sally and Lamar in 2017, and they continue life together as a loving, caring family. They enjoyed traveling and vacationing and had many fun-filled family outings. Skye, Sally and Lamar's outings also included the Castro family. A repass will be held on Friday, February 23, 2024 from 4-7 pm at St. Joseph Of The Holy Family Church. Located at 405 W. 125th Street , NY, NY 10027. Skye’s sudden departure leaves behind a host of family, friends, and neighbors who will remember and miss him. His daughter, Skye; his mother, Ms. Dede; his sister, Tonya; his brother Isaac; his nephew Chris; his great nephew, Kayden; his soul mate Sally and his son Lamar. Skye's brother Jamal, Aunt Sheryn, Kim and family, Uncle Leroy, Kareem and family, Cousin Dasaun, Chantel, Miss Lynn and family, Krystle, Maria, Samara, Carlos, Angel, and the rest of the Castro family. Evangelist Jimenez, Sister Betty, Ms. Janice, and a special shout out to Logan, Damar, Dana, Kool-Aid, Emilio, and Lou. Gone but never forgotten.

Harold Donell Brown

Born : Dec 13, 1966

location-icon

Bowie, TX

Harold Donell Brown born December 13, 1966 in Gadsden County, Quincy, Florida, raised in St. Petersburg, Florida. In 1991, he met and fell in love with Julie; after he pestered her for Tylenol on multiple occasions, she finally succumbed to his love. It wasn’t until 1993, after a lot of commuting, Harold moved to Sarasota. In 1994, they had a tiny baby girl named Jazmine that Harold loved to hold in the palm of his hand. They got married January 20, 1995 and welcomed a baby boy named Aaron in May the same year. Harold was determined to make everything as normal as possible for Aaron. Although Harold wanted to be an architect, he found tremendous joy in being a surgical technician. He started at Sarasota Memorial Hospital, went to Doctors Hospital for a short time, and then landed at Coastal Medical. In true Harold fashion he loved his work family and would do anything that was asked of him including getting up at 3:30 in the morning to be ready for his doctors. It was his fun loving, caring character that helped when he was a games leader at Awana for Sarasota Alliance. He was also a volunteer for Camp Fish Tales, helping children with all different disabilities have the summer of their lives. In May of 2002, Harold and Julie welcomed their second “Beautiful” son Julien. Harold loved to coach, not only with his own children, but with others as well. His coaching career started in 1998 with Jazmine and Aaron at Cal Ripken. It continued on for many years as he coached Julien through Cal Ripken, Sarasota All-Stars, and Sting. He even tried his hand at coaching softball when he joined the coaches at Booker High to coach Jazmine her senior year. When Julien wanted to play a season of football, Harold was right there to be one of his coaches. In June of 2021, Harold earned the title of “Pop-Pop.” He enjoyed every moment and loved having a little helper by his side. Outside of work and coaching, Harold’s favorite place was in his garden. That was his sanctuary where he enjoyed watching his sports, planting a variety of plants, and occasionally enjoying a cigar.Harold is survived by his beloved wife and best friend of 29 years, Julie Brown; father of Natobi (Poota) Meshay Brown, Jazmine (Knock Knock), Donella Brown, Aaron (Boom Boom) Roger Brown, Julien (Bugs) Michael Brown and doting Pop-Pop to Ace (Squito) Donell Jones. His father James Brown, his mother Maude Brown, his brothers James (Bot) Brown Jr., Terrill (Black) Brown, Terrance (Jake) Brown, his sister Maxine Brown and numerous loving Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, cousins and other family members.Visitation will be held from 6:00pm-8:00pm on Fri., Feb. 23, 2024 at Jones Funeral Home. Service will be held from 2:00pm-6:00pm on Sat., Feb. 24, 2024 at Sarasota Cal Ripken Baseball Field 1. Funeral arrangements by Jones Funeral Home.
