William "Bill" Fox sometimes called Bounce or Mr. Muttonhead passed at 9:53 a. m. on Sunday, April 23,2023. He was born June 6, 1931, and was the son of Jake and Gladys (Newlin) Fox. He graduated from Kokomo High School in 1949. He married Guenevere Hancook on September 2, 1952, and she preceded him in death on February 20, 2008. On November 1, 2009, he married Margot Maddox Hight. He served in the U. S. Army airborne during the Korean War. He attended I. U receiving a B. S in Education in 1955 and a M. A. T in Mathematics in 1959. For 38 years he taught math at Kokomo High School, was a curriculum supervisor of the math department for 20 years and was involved in athletics as an assistant football and track coach. Those 38 years were a blessing to him. In all of his years, the love of family and his faith were most important to him. Bill is survived by his wife, Margot; sons, David (Toni) Fox, Michael (Lisa)Fox; daughter, Stephanie Westcott; grandchildren, Graham (Suzi) Roe, Abby Fox, Matt (Erika) Fox, Jacob (Natalie) Fox, Joey (Christian) Fox, Bradley Westcott, Emily Westcott, and Natalie Westcott; great grandchildren, Emily Fox, Charlee Fox, Sydney Fox, Nicky Fox, Saylor Fox, Sammy Fox, Noah Fox; brother, Robert Fox; and nephew, Bryan (Joanne) Fox. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Guenevere and his sister-in-law, Jean Fox. A memorial service celebrating Bill's life will be held at 10 a. m. Saturday, April 29, 2023 at First Congregational Christian Church, 505 W. Mulberry St. , beginning with Military Honors provided by the U. S. Army and the Kokomo V. F. W. Military Rites Team. Pastor Jon Tice will officiate. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 4-7 p. m. Friday at Shirley & Stout Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1315 W. Lincoln Road, Kokomo. Private burial will be held in Kokomo Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Fox Scholarship, Kokomo Education Foundation, 1500 South Washington Street, Kokomo, IN 46902 .
