William Deal Obituary

William Franklin Deal, age 82 of Lenoir, passed away, on Sunday, April 23, 2023 at his residence. Born Saturday, December 14, 1940 to the late William Carl Deal and Hettie Ann Garver Deal, in Caldwell County, NC. Mr. Deal is survived by his wife of 62 years Nancy Shatley. Son William Carl Deal (Wife Wendy) of Kennesaw Ga. and Daughter Rachel Deal of Lenoir NC, along with Brother James "Jimmy" Deal of Fallston, NC. William will be remembered for being an involved Deacon in his home church, Hope Christian Fellowship in Boone NC. Mr. Deal spent time hunting, fishing, and organic vegetable gardening. He was an avid reader, who could carry on a conversation with anyone. He had a lot of friends at Broyhill Furniture Plant Number 55, where he worked in the Clothcutting Department. The Deal family will receive friends Sunday, April 30, 2023 from 2:00 pm - 2:45 pm at Celia Creek Baptist Church, Lenoir NC. The Funeral Service for William will be held at Celia Creek Baptist Church, Lenoir NC, on Sunday, April 30, 2023 at 3:00 pm with the Rev. Harvey Bauman officiating.
