Wilfred Widman, 88, of Fremont, Ohio passed away June 18, 2022. Wilfred was born on October 12, 1933 in Fremont, Ohio to the late William and Clara (Binsack) Widman. Wilfred is survived by his daughter: Sheryl (Kevin) Joseph; sons: David (Shirley) Widman, Richard (Jeanette) Widman; 12 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren; brother Tom. Wilfred was preceded in death by his parents, wife Nancy, brothers Bernard, William, & Cy Widman, and sister Mary Ann Widman. Wilfred proudly served his country in the United States Army Reserves. He worked for the Whirlpool Corporation until his retirement after 45 years. Wilfred was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church and the VFW, Eagles, and a former member of the Moose Lodge. He bowled in many leagues throughout the years. Wilfred enjoyed hunting, and trapshooting along with tending his yard. Wilfred loved working in his yard and doing woodworking projects. Visitation for Wilfred will be held on Thursday, June 23, 2022 from 10:00 AM until the time of the funeral mass at 11:00 AM in St. Joseph Catholic Church, 709 Croghan Street, Fremont, Ohio. Internment will immediately follow in Greenlawn Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be gifted to the American Cancer Society, St. Jude Children's Hospital or the Wounded Warriors Project.
