Wiley Clifton Claunch, age 73 of Elkmont, passed away on Thursday, April 24, 2019 at Huntsville Hospital. Mr. Claunch was born October 1, 1945 in Limestone County to Wiley M. Claunch and Nannie Mae Sterling Claunch. Funeral services for Mr. Claunch will be held Saturday, April 27, 2019 at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home at 3:00 p.m. with Bro. Randy Carter officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 1:00 until 2:45 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Gatlin Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Pitts Claunch; step-son, Dennis Clem (Jo Carol); step-daughters, Melissa Wilson (John), Brittney Clem (B.J. Carruth) and Hope Espada; 9 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents and brothers and sisters. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during Vietnam. He enjoyed yard work, gardening and fishing. Pallbearers are Lance Haggard, Chris Rouse, Danny McCafferty, Doug McCafferty, Dan Fulton and B.J. Carruth.
