"There is no expiration date on the love between a father and his child. "Wilburn Thomas Foster, affectionately known as WT, was a beacon of light and a true testament to the power of kindness, humor, and selflessness in our world. He was born on November 13, 1933, in Austin, Texas, and graduated from Dripping Springs High School in 1953. He lived a vibrant and inspiring life until his peaceful passing at home on April 26, 2023, in Kyle, Texas. He loved his family and lived for them. He was also a very private man with a quiet elegance who could own the room when he chose to. Wilburn's legacy is carried on by his loving daughters, Lisa Keltner, 53, and Kendra Foster, 50, who are forever grateful for the invaluable life lessons and laughter he shared with them throughout his incredible 89 years. His legacy is also carried on by his sister, Danna Olson, and his brother, Melvyn Foster, and his wife Mary Ann, his grandchildren, Colby, Olivia, and Lily and one great granddaughter. He also has two sons-in-law, 6 nieces, 4 nephews, 7 great nieces, 4 great nephews and multiple cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents, Douglas and Bertha Foster, his sister, Sandra and his brothers Douglas, Jr. , and Robert Lee (Bobby Lee), and his oldest grandson, Connor. As a master plumber, Wilburn was an expert in his field and demonstrated an unwavering commitment to excellence and integrity in his work. His dedication to his craft was matched only by his devotion to serving his country as a veteran of the United States Navy. In both his professional and personal life, Wilburn's resilience and determination were a shining example for all those who knew him. And those who knew him adored him. Wilburn's love for the outdoors was evident in the way he tended to his yard and took on various projects with enthusiasm and skill, and the fact he preferred the warm breeze and nature to anything else. A natural-born problem solver, he could spend hours working on intricate mechanical tasks, taking things apart and putting them back together with meticulous precision. His passion for hands-on work was an inspiration to everyone around him, motivating them to tackle their own challenges with confidence and a can-do attitude. Wilburn's kindness, work ethic, loyalty, humor, and selflessness were the defining characteristics of his life, and he left a lasting impact on the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known him.
