Wilbur Ralph Fennell, 88, formerly of Southside Easton, passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2022, in Old Orchard Health Care Center. Born December 27, 1933, in Jersey City, NJ, he was the son of the late Wilbur and Louise (Macklin) Fennell. Wilbur served with the Navy during the Korean War. He retired in 1993 from Northampton County Prison, where he was employed for twenty- one years. He worked at the Express-Times and was a State Constable on the Southside of Easton. He had also been a bingo bus driver. Wilbur enjoyed bowling at Bar-Don Lanes, trips to Yankee Stadium and loved bingo at Foxwood. In his younger years, he was a Golden Gloves Welterweight Champion. Surviving are four sons, Merrill B. Fennell, Sr. , and his wife Penelope, of Bethlehem, Stephen D. Fennell, of Lee Summit, MO, Michael R. Fennell and his wife Dee, of Cary, NC, and Chris Johnson and his wife Marisol, of Bethlehem; five daughters, Linda Ann Fennell, of Los Angeles, CA, Ava Mincey, of Savannah, GA, Audreana Fennell, Jewell Manigault and Nicole Day, all of Easton; many, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Wilbur Ralph Fennell, Jr. , a daughter, Tina Louise Fennell and a grandson, Michael Fennell, Jr. Services will be held at 10:30am Wednesday in the Strunk Funeral Home, Inc. , 2101 Northampton St. , Wilson Borough.
