MARY E. PYLES Mary Evelyn Pyles, 83, of Silver Hill Community, New Martinsville, died February 22, 2024 in the New Martinsville Center. She was born November 21, 1940 at Cameron, a daughter of the late Clyde Cain and Margarete Miller Cain. Mrs. Pyles was a homemaker. She worked along side her husband Floyd Pyles operating the dairy farm for many years. Surviving are two sons, Clifford Pyles of Silver Hill and Calvin Pyles of New Martinsville; two daughters and their spouses, Melba and Greg Lonero of Nathrop, Colorado and Rhonda and Robert Blake of New Martinsville; nine grandchildren, Christie Starcher, William Henry Burge, Sarah Burge, Jessica Burge, Jamie Lee, Matt Burge, Brent Blake, Rachael Graham, and Clayton Pyles-Dugas; fourteen great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Pyles, who died October 23, 2015; one daughter, Sharon Burge; and one great-granddaughter, Ashtyn Grace Lee. Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home, 2678 Hornet Highway, Hundred, WV from 3:00 to 7:00 PM on Monday, February 26, 2024. Edna was born June 29, 1956, in Clarksburg, WV daughter of the late Junior and Mary (Roberts) Sharp. She was the secretary and co-owner of Ed Boggs Body Shop in New Martinsville, WV, she loved spending time with her family and hosting family get-togethers and attending car shows. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Roy Sharp. Surviving are her three children, Shawn (Shelby Prater) Boggs of Logan, WV and Kenneth (Jamie) Sharp of Moundsville, WV and Billie Regina (Chris) Bowling of Belfry, KY; five grandchildren, Joshua, Kristina, Courtney, Alyssa and Brooke; one great grandson, Bradley; two sisters, Violet Stout of Shinnston, WV and Becky Ashcraft and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Kathryn “Kate” Marie Crow, 97, of New Martinsville, WV went to be with her heavenly Father, Monday, February 19, 2024 at her home and surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, all of her nine siblings as well as her husband, Marcus. Kathryn was born August 16, 1926 in Nettle Hill, PA, one of ten children. She graduated from West Green High in PA. Attended Business Collage in Little Washington, PA, where she lived and worked for a few years. Then she met and married the love of her life, Marcus W. Crow in Littleton, WV. They were married in June of 1948. Their five children are, Dr. Timothy Crow of New Martinsville, WV, Marcus Randy (Sarah) Crow of New Martinsville, WV, Jamie S. Crow of Bradenton, FL, Kathy (Jack) Brookover of New Martinsville, WV Tracy (Willie) Stone of Ravenswood, WV; eight grandchildren; three step-great grandchildren; and two step great-great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends received 4-7 p.m., Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at the New Martinsville United Methodist Church, 10 Howard Jeffers Drive, New Martinsville, WV where funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, February 22, 2024 with Pastor Stephen Rector officiating. Doris H. Weddle 93, of Woodsfield Ohio passed away Wednesday January 31, 2024 at the Wetzel County Hospital New Martinsville, West Virginia. She was born in Monroe County Ohio December 31, 1930 a daughter of the late John Vickers and Mildred Dearth Vickers Christman, and step father Paul “Pete” Christman. Doris was a proud graduate of Woodsfield High School Class of 1948, and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Woodsfield. She had been an employee of the Woodsfield NAPA, as well as Weddle’s Auto Supply. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William H. Weddle, daughter Andrea Workman, special friend Norris Whittaker, and her dog Buddy. She is survived by two sons; Jeffery (Anne) Weddle of Woodsfield, and Jerry (Debi) Weddle of Woodsfield, grandchildren Gregory (Amanda) Workman II, Gretchen (James) Weddle, Josh Bach, Joshua (Felicia) Semon, and Ben (Denise) Semon, several great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 6 – 8 p.m. Thursday February 1, at the Bauer- Turner Funeral Home Woodsfield, Ohio where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday February 2, 2024 with Rev. David Cottrell officiating. Burial will follow in the Oaklawn Cemetery Woodsfield.

Mary was born May 6, 1973, in Danielson, CT daughter of Patricia (Williams) Schaum of New Martinsville, WV. She was a workaholic, enjoyed fishing, member of New Martinsville Moose Lodge #931, Hannibal Post 2446, Hannibal American Legion Post 760 and New Martinsville American Legion Marne Post 28. Mary had been employed as a Chemical Worker. She was preceded in death by her father, George Schaum and brother, Robert Throckmorton. Surviving in addition to her mother is her daughter, Brianna Wiles; three grandchildren, Kaylee, Zayden and Dominic; nephews, Levi Throckmorton, Dustin Throckmorton and Cody Cline and niece, Kara Jo Warcox and several other family members. At Mary’s request there will be no services.
