John Roman Lucarini, a devoted family man, dedicated to US serviceman, and passionate sports enthusiast, passed away on November 11, 2023, in Ocala, Florida. Born on March 31, 1933, in Montour No. 9, Pennsylvania to Italian immigrant parents, John's life was marked by service to his country, devotion to his extended family, and a love for the game of golf. John, also called "Luke" by many who knew him, served his country with distinction for 37 years in the air National Guard. After a stint in the U. S. Air Force, he was assigned as a full-time airman to help start up the Pennsylvania ANG during the Cold War. His commitment to his fellow servicemen was evident in his work, providing life support training for military jet pilots. During his service, many pilots return to thank him for their life-saving training. John was deployed to Europe many times to assist Nato allies. He also trained hundreds of part-time guard members during his service career. John's dedication and leadership were recognized with his promotion to the rank of Chief Master Sergeant, and his induction into the Air National Guard Hall of Fame. John's passion for golf was well known among his friends and family, especially with the Ocala Palms community. An avid golfer, he could regularly be found playing 18 holes well into his late 80s and on several occasions John's 18 hole score was lower than his age. His love of sports began in his youth. John was quarterback for the varsity football team and played for the varsity baseball team at Midway High School. In McDonald, PA. , John was a popular and beloved manager of Little League baseball teams, known by all for his inclusion, good sportsmanship, and generosity. He was a lifelong fan and season-ticket holder of the Pittsburgh Steelers. John's faith was also a cornerstone of his life. A longtime member of the United Methodist Church of McDonald, PA. , he spent his retirement years worshiping at the Ocala Palms community Church. John also served the McDonald area community on the Robinson Township Planning Commission. John's first wife, Jeanne Lucarini, preceded him in death in 1993. John's survived by his second wife, Susan Lucarini of Ocala, and his four children, Donna Selan and her husband, Paul of Oak Island, North Carolina, Daniel , "Luke" Lucarini and his wife Dot of Cornwall, UK, Gary "Luke" Lucarini and his wife, Renie, and J. Robert, "Luke" Lucarini and his wife Kitty, of Phoenix, Arizona. He was a proud grandfather to 11 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and one great grandchild. John is also survived by his younger brother Albert Lucarini of Atlanta, Georgia and his younger sister, Virginia Williams of Phoenix, Arizona. He was also a beloved uncle, too many nieces, nephews , grand nieces and nephews and great grand, nieces and nephews. John's legacy of service, faith, and love for his family and country will be remembered by all who knew him. His life was a testament to the values he held dear, and he will be deeply missed. "Vesta Mozell James, age 89, of Ocala, FL, passed away on November 24, 2023. She was born on October 9, 1934, in Alix, Arkansas, to the late Goldie Clifford Fields and Ethel Nena McDonald Fields. Vesta was a devoted mother of 5, US Marine Wife, of sergeant Major Dennis Lee James Oorah! grandmother of seven, great-grandmother of ten and great-great-grandmother of four. Throughout her life, Vesta\u0027s unwavering faith guided her journey, for the past 42 years, she was a member of the Ocala First Church of the Nazarene. A true prayer warrior Vesta prayed for others until her very last breath. Her love for Jesus and her unwavering commitment to intercession were awe-inspiring. The Lord blessed Vesta with a remarkable musical talent, a gift she inherited from her beloved father. Her nimble fingers danced across the keys of the piano, playing hymns and melodies that resonated with the depths of her soul. Through her music, she touched the hearts of many, including her cherished Children and grandchildren. Vesta\u0027s favorite passage, Psalm 23, provided solace and inspiration during times of tribulation. It reminded her that the Lord, her shepherd, would guide her through the valleys of life, providing comfort and restoration. Vesta\u0027s love extended far beyond her biological family. She embraced all who crossed her path, offering a soft place to land during times of hardship and a contagious laughter that could brighten the darkest of days. Her genuine compassion knew no bounds. Vesta\u0027s legacy was one of love, unity, and unwavering faith. Vesta pursued a career in cosmetology, utilizing her talents to enhance the beauty of those she served. Left to cherish her memory, survive by are her children: Deronda and John Kinlock, Edward and Brenda Gilbreath, Denena and Keith Griffin, Delisa and Michael Fugate, Dwight and Debra James, Clayton Davis, and Toby Pritchard. Vesta also leaves behind 7 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren, each a testament to her abundant love and the blessings she bestowed upon them. Vesta was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dennis Lee James, and her siblings: Thelma Jackson, Mary Williams, and Clarence Fields. Their spirits now rest in the loving embrace of their heavenly home loving on her dear horses Petite who passed shortly before her beloved owner. Suzanne Dorothea Wells was born on August 15, 1933, in Waukegan, Illinois. She attended North School and graduated from Waukegan Township High School in 1951. Suzanne married John I Theabold and was widowed in 1963 with two daughters, Lou-Anne and Roseanne. Suzanne married Frederick Albert Brean in 1964, gaining a stepson, Patrick Kelly Brean and 4 years later the addition of another daughter, Roxanne. Known to most as Suzie - she was always welcoming, gracious and kind, easily making friends around the world. She would be the first to send cards, letters or call just to say hi. Fred and Suzie owned and operated Brean's Citgo Gas Station in Waukegan, Badger Egg Company and Ma & Pa's Corner Store located at Yorkhouse and Greenbay Road in Waukegan, Illinois until 1983. Fred and Suzie were married for 54 years until Fred passed 10/10/2018. She had a smile that was undeniable and a love for people, especially her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and great grandmother. She demonstrated what the meaning of true friendship is and showed her family unconditional love. She loved to cook and entertain hosting parties and holidays. She also enjoyed knitting, crocheting, bowling and going to the gym. Suzie was a dedicated Catholic, a member of Our Lady of Humility Church, St Patrick's in Illinois and Blessed Trinity Church in Ocala, FL. Suzanne is survived by her daughters, Lou-Anne (Phil) Wasson, Roxanne Lynn McCarron. Stepson Patrick Kelly Brean. Five loving grandchildren: Shawn Wasson, Kimo (Jolene) Arruda, Keone Arruda, Jamie (Joseph) Javier and Morgan Brean.
