Tellier. 93, New Smyrna Beach, passed away peacefully with family by his side. Robert was born in Boston, MA on July 24. 1930 and raised in Pembroke, MA He graduated from Pembroke High School in 1948. Robert attended Weymouth Trade School and continued his education in Blueprint & Mechanical drawing & Survey Instruments. He continued his career as a Union Carpenter, working for Bond Bros. for over 30 years. Robert was a United States Navy veteran serving during the Korean War.Husband of the late Beatrice Tellier.  Son of the late John and Ruth Tellier. Brother of the late Richard Tellier. Robert is survived by son Brian and his wife Nancy. Daughters Brenda. Lori and Terri and her husband John. Predeceased by sons, Dennis, Michael and Shawn. Stepfather to Helen Hess, the late Teresa Cifello, Tom Hess and Blanche Hess. Grandfather to 15 and great-grandfather to 17.Robert lived a very full life and made sure he shared his knowledge to everyone he met. Even at the age of 93, Robert could be seen working on his own house or gardening in the yard. He will be greatly missed by many.Services for Robert will be private per his request. "Joan Brown (nee Waters), 97, of New Smyrna Beach, Florida, passed away on February 1, 2024. She was born April 13, 1926, in Chicago, Illinois, to the late Edward P Waters I and Hannah Roche Waters. Joan was the caring sister of the late Edward (Ned) and late John (Duke) Waters. In the graceful dance of life, Joan was the cherished wife of the late Robert (Bob) Brown for 67 years, forming an unbreakable bond of commitment and devotion as companions. In Chicago and Florida, they embraced a life adorned with golfing events, bridge groups, formal balls, celebrations, and country club gatherings—a vibrant canvas painted with music, dancing, laughter, and shared dreams. Joan was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her children: Bob (Marcy), Blase (Nancy), MaryAnne Torongo, Peter, and Christopher (Wendy). Joan was cherished by her 16 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Mary Helen Waters (Oakbrook, Il) and many nieces \u0026amp; nephews. Joan had a vibrant personality and was a friend to many. As a small business entrepreneur, she founded and operated At Home Estate Sales. Joan was also a former flight attendant for Pan American Airlines, serving in Central and South America in the late 1940s. In her free time, Joan enjoyed playing golf, bridge, and indulging in design and decorating projects. Joan\u0027s educational journey began at St. Philip Neri in Chicago\u0027s South Shore neighborhood. She later attended Aquinas Dominican High School. Joan continued her higher education at Mundelein College in Chicago. Joan was an active Catholic throughout her life, worshipping at St. Philip Neri and Christ the King in Chicago, St. Isaac Jogues in Hinsdale, Illinois, and Our Lady Star of the Sea in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. In the final few years of her life, Joan received intimate kindness, compassion, grace and comfort from the caregivers at Lexington Place and Vitas Hospice Healthcare. These care providers are blessings that came alive for Joan, like a gift reflecting the glory and goodness of our Lord, in each day’s quiet need and in her final journey home. A funeral service will be held in Joan\u0027s honor on March 23, 2024, at 11:00 am at Our Lady Star of the Sea in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the National Association for Down Syndrome (www.nads.org). The Heritage Funeral \u0026amp; Cremation Service in Bunnell, Florida, is assisting the family with the arrangements. Joan will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Eugene W. Roach, age 89, of New Smyrna Beach, died Friday, February 23, 2024 at Lexington Place, New Smyrna Beach. Born in Big Isaac, West Virginia to Richard A. and Chloe Mowrey Roach, Eugene came to New Smyrna Beach in 1987 from Winter Park. He served in the United States Army as a military instructor, and was a college professor, graduating from the West Virginia Wesleyan, West Virginia University and University of Maryland, history professor Valencia Community College for 25 years, and adjunct professor at University of Central Florida and Rollins. Eugene was a a lifelong member of the National Education Association, Board member of State of Florida Historical Society and Orange County Historical Society; speaker on historical topics to various clubs and organization in the area; member of Lions and Elks Clubs in the area; member of the senior 60 and over softball league; member of NSB Historical Society; member of NSB Presbyterian Church. Eugene enjoyed playing adult/senior softball and was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and brother that will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Survivors include his son, Alex (Stacey) Roach, of New Smyrna Beach; two granddaughters, Lindsay, of Edgewater; and Alexandra Roach, of Casselberry; brother, Richard (Vanessa) Roach, of Gassaway, West Virginia. Eugene was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sandra; and brother, Jack Roach. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to John and Isabelle Rupp Schofield, Judith was a Pre School Director. A member of Coronado United Methodist Church, she volunteered at the church. Judith was a member of book clubs, Breakfast Club and the Red Hat Society. She loved to travel, garden and was an avid reader. Judith was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother that will be missed by all that knew and loved her. Bertha (Bea) Swift (68), of New Smyrna Beach, FL, passed away on February 24, 2024. Bea was born on July 4, 1955 in New Smyrna Beach to John Swift and Lucille Swift. Bea attended Faulkner elementary school, New Smyrna Beach Junior High school and graduated from New Smyrna Beach High school in 1973. Bea was a certified nurses’ aid and was a caregiver to many people. She also studied radiology. Bea spent more than 20 years at the Volusia County Finance Department in New Smyrna Beach. As a local of New Smyrna, she was a well-known and trusted face at the Tag Office. Bea was a hard worker who was always dedicated to her craft. She loved to travel, but thoroughly enjoyed going to the theme parks in Disney. Bea also loved music, singing, and collecting tiger artifacts and memorabilia. Bea is survived by her son, Neil Erb, her sister and brother Gretchen Swift and Charles Swift, her grandson Ryley Scott, and extended family members in Florida and New Jersey. Bea was preceded in death by her husband Jack Lewis, her mother Lucille Normand, her father John D Swift, and her sisters Sheila Whittenton and Rosella King. On March 17th, 1979 , she married Richard Jesch and they have shared 45 years of marriage. Nancy was a very sweet lady who loved her family, dogs and crocheting. Warren Peter McLean, 80 years old, of New Smyrna Beach, Florida, was called to join our Savior in heaven on Friday, February 2, 2024 as he passed away peacefully resting at home. Our Family will gather this summer to have a Celebration of Life.Warren was born in Webster, Massachusetts to Mary Spitz-McLean and Arthur Curtis Robert McLean on Sunday, May 30, 1943. He spent his younger years living in Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New Jersey, graduating from Parsippany High School in 1961. Warren had an honorable tour of duty with the United States Marine Corps Reserves from 1964- 1970. His first wife Gretchen and their three young daughters moved from New Jersey to Florida in 1973. He remarried in 1985, to Linda and they had a beautiful son. He spent his remaining years in Florida until the Lord called him to his forever home.Warren’s career was in custom upholstery and installations of custom window treatments for several interior designers in Florida. He loved his work because it allowed him to be creative, build relationships and have freedom and flexibility. Warren knew no strangers and he blessed many lives as he fostered friendships through his love of softball, tennis, surfing, and most of all motorcycle riding. Warren was a warrior and yet a jovial soul. Above all else, he is a man of God which truly brings us comfort in knowing he is with our Lord and Savior.Warren was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Mary and Arthur, and his older brothers William and Robert McLean. Warren is survived by his wife Linda McLean and their son, Curtis McLean; his first wife Gretchen Hand and their three daughters, Kendyl (Adam) Pollenz, Kere (Keith) Delahanty, and Gretchen (Joe) Bombara; 10 grandchildren (Liam, Deklan, Skyler, McKenna, Breck, Messina, Johnny, Kaytlyn, Deryk, Hayley); three siblings, Art (Tina) McLean, Patricia Strungis, and John (Chris) McLean; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. His light will be forever with us.

Catherine Lutrell Johnson, 95, of New Smyrna Beach, FL passed away on February 23, 2024. A Florida native, she was born on March 5, 1928 in Bradenton, FL to parents Jesse and Alma (nee Goff) Glisson. Lutrell grew up in Tallahassee and graduated from Leon High School. Lutrell worked at the state capital for a period of time before she met her future husband, Paul A. Johnson, at a church youth camp in Blountstown, FL. Paul and Lutrell married in Tallahassee and had 3 boys. Lutrell was known as an avid seamstress and a great cook. She was a great Christian woman, who loved her family and her faith. She loved being a homemaker and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Lutrell is survived by her children; Ronald Paul (Sandy) Johnson, Larry Stephen (Lisa) Johnson, Andrew Murray (Janet) Johnson. There are 9 grandchildren: Jordan, Justin, Joel, Jarrett, Lindsay, Lisabeth, Leanza, Allison, and Anna, as well as 29 great-grandchildren, with one more on the way. She is also survived by sisters; Ruth Johnson of Port Orange, FL and Annette Lindsey of Tallahassee. Lutrell is predeceased by her husband, Paul A. Johnson, her parents, Jesse and Alma Glisson, her brother Floyd Glisson, and her sister Jean Sowell.
