Weldon Lee EstesJanuary 8, 1929 - September 10, 2023 Mr. Weldon Lee Estes was born on January 8, 1929 in Rio Hondo, TX to his parents Clarence McKinley Estes and Eva Mae Boyd. He served in the U. S. Army as a 82nd Airborne Chaplain during the Korean War. Following the military he worked to achieve his Doctorate Degree and was a Professor Emeritus at Dallas Baptist University. He passed away on September 10, 2023 at the age of 94. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him. Service:Friday, September 22, 2023Military Honors and Internment will be held at Dallas/Fort Worth National Cemetery at 11am. Gathering (Visitation) will take place at Dallas Baptist University in Sandler Hall from 11:30am-1:00pm Chapel Service will be held at the Dallas Baptist University Pilgrim Chapel at 1:00pm. Mark SpiegelJune 12, 1955 - November 21, 2023 Long time Midlothian, TX resident, Mark Easley Spiegel (68) passed away on Nov 21, 2023 surrounded by his loving wife, Kathy Spiegel, of 49 years and their 4 children. Mark was born in Dallas TX to Edward Robert Spiegel II and Diana Reed on June 12th 1955. Mark was a graduate of San Marcos Baptist Academy and served in the United States Navy. Following his service in United States Navy, Mark for Texas Utilities (TXU) for 38 years as an Industrial Hygienist; ensuring OSHA compliance and proper asbestos abatement. Following his retirement from TXU, Mark helped Kathy achieve her goals of starting a property management company here in Midlothian. Mark was an active member of his community. He served Midlothian Youth Basketball Association for 16 years as President and coach. In addition, he participated in Midlothian Youth and Adult Theater. Mark was an advocate for his children's passions volunteering for the Midlothian Band Booster and FFA Booster Clubs. In Mark's spare time he enjoyed watching his favorite sports team the Dallas Cowboys, fishing, camping and playing golf. Mark is preceded in death by his parents Edward Robert Spiegel II and Diana Reed Spiegel, and his sister Paula Spiegel. He is survived by his wife, Kathy Snyder Spiegel and their four children; Amie (Spiegel) Jones, Melissa (Spiegel) Fischer, Charles Spiegel and Jim Spiegel. Along with their spouses, Gregory Jones, Nathan Fischer and Courtney (Bradford) Spiegel. As well as his 6 grandchildren: Jared and Madeleine Jones, Nathaniel and Morgan Fischer, and Emerson and Lane Spiegel. Mark is also survived by his siblings Diana C. Spiegel and Bob Spiegel. Mia Bethany GarciaJanuary 20, 2009 - November 22, 2023 Mia Bethany Garcia was born on January 20, 2009 in Dallas, TX to parents Emilia and Michael Garcia. She passed away on November 22, 2023. Mia loved arts and crafts, listening to music, and watching movies. She loved taking her naps and partying all night (night owl). Since the moment Mia came into this world, she has been a fighter and she fought until her last breath. Mia touched so many people's life and she changed her parent's life forever. Mia was the light and glue to the family. She was always a happy person. When she walked into a room, she admittedly brightened it up with her beautiful smile. If you were having a bad day, she knew how to put a smile on your face. She loved spending time with her family and did not mind taking her naps while the room was full of people. She and her mom were the best of friends and they loved taking naps and shopping together. She loved having her midnight conversion with her dad. She is survived by her mom and dad; siblings: Michael E. Garcia, Clarissa Garcia, and Noah Garcia. Her grandparents: Emilia and Martin Garcia. Her maternal grandparents: Salvador Rodriguez, Debra Samaniego and Maria Gonzales. She is also survived by her Tia's, Tio's, and a lot of cousins.
