Walter A. Cheney passed September 7, 2023 to be with his wife, Anita Cheney, who passed three weeks earlier. Married 79 years, they are survived by 5 daughters, Gloria Vailliant, Barbara and her husband, Jim Jordan, Beverly and her husband, Peter Smith, who all live in Avon Park, Priscilla and her husband, David Chase of Sebring and Kathy and her husband, Jesse Bushaw of Warren, NH. They are survived by eight grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and three great-great granddaughters. Walter and Anita owned and operated Circle Tri Cleaners in Plymouth, NH for 27 years. He was also a member of the Elks Lodge and enjoyed traveling in an RV, gardening, snowmobiling, dancing but most of all, loved spending time with his family. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Anne Katherine Taylor (nee Childs), who passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on December 7, 2023, in Port Perry, ON. Born on September 27, 1945, in the picturesque landscapes of England, Anne's life was a testament to love, dedication, and the timeless values that we hold dear. Anne's journey was intertwined with that of her beloved husband of 60 years, David, whom she cherished with unwavering devotion. Married in March 1964, they built a foundation of love and commitment that stood the test of time, a testament of the enduring power of their bond. Anne's nurturing spirit extended to her cherished children: Steven, Lee (Rob Campbell), Neil (Linda), and Angela. Through her guidance and selflessness, she instilled in them the values of compassion, resilience, and the importance of family. Her legacy of love continued to flourish through her beloved grandchildren: Rob (Denise) Lindsay (Josh), Jordan (Megan), Paige (Jake), Ryan, and Chloe. They were the apple of her eye, and Anne's heart swelled with pride as she witnessed their accomplishments and shared in their joys and triumphs. A testament to Anne's memory will forever be cherished by her great-grandchildren: Leah, Beau, Owen, John & Bianca. They were blessed to experience her love and wisdom, creating a lasting bond that will be treasured for generations to come. Anne was preceded in death by her dear mother, Rose Childs (nee Bridges), and her father, George Childs. In remembrance of Anne's life, a celebration of life will be held to honor her memory and celebrate the legacy she leaves behind. We would like to thank the staff and volunteers at the Oak Ridges Hospice in Port Perry for their kind and compassionate care. Richard Keith Stoner, 79, passed away peacefully in Sebring, Florida, surrounded by his loving family, on December 7th, 2023. Richard, "Dick", was born in Auburn, New York on August 29th,1944 to Dale Avery Keith Stoner and Leona Miriam Buckhout Stoner. He graduated from King Ferry High School in King Ferry, New York,and then enlisted into the United States Army. After serving proudly from 1966-1969, he returned toSebring, Florida where he worked as a building repair technician and raised his family. He was a cheerful,generous, hard-working, creative and ingenious man, who many sought out his expertise and knowledgeof many things. He was lovingly known as a "jack of all trades. " Richard is survived by his loving wife, June Collier Stoner, his children, Deborah Stoner Castillo (husband David Castillo) of Madison, Alabama, Anthony Galen Stoner (wife Sonya Stoner) of Sebring,Florida, and Andrew Stoner (wife Tania Stoner) of Sebring, Florida as well as many grandchildren, AprilMartinez, Matthew Martinez, Hannah Castillo, William Castillo, Lane Roberts, Austin Stoner, SarennaStoner, Levi Stoner, Brylee Goins, Shelby Blount (husband William), Addison Stoner, AJ Stoner andgreat-grandchildren, Garrett Martinez and Isaac Loy, and brother (Dick’s) David D. Stoner (Barbara). Hewas preceded in death by his son Richard Kevin Stoner, and his (Dick’s) sister Karen Stoner Huffman andher late husband Galen Huffman. He will be truly missed by his family and forever cherished by his family and friends. His celebration of life will be held at Morris Funeral Chapel in Sebring, Florida on Saturday, December 16th , 2023. John Ray HillsJohn Hills passed away peacefully on Sunday December 3, 2023 at Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay Ontario. We are grateful to his medical team for their kindness and care. John was born February 16, 1945, one of seven children to Kenneth and Viola Hills (Ted, Eric, Gwen, John, Don, Janet and Jerry) in Orono, Ontario. He enjoyed the company of his siblings throughout his life. John attended Clarke High School and worked a number of jobs before he found his career as Production Foreman at St. Mary's Cement in Bowmanville, Ontario. John retired early in the year 2000 but he wasn't idle. He volunteered regularly for the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters and did trail restoration through the Ontario Federation of Snowmobilers Club. He was also active in the South Central Ontario Big Game Association where he did deer rescue. John was most proud of his volunteer service to the Canadian Blood Services. He donated blood 147 times and was recently recognized for this life giving service. John loved to be outdoors and in the bush. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed his hunting trips with friends over the years. He continued to express his love of the outdoors at his home in Janetville at Fleetwood Estates where he not only cut his lawn and blew out his own driveway, but he also did the same work for his neighbours who he considered his second family. John was a proud father to his son Ron (Shawn), grandfather to Zac (Jackie), Olivia (Tyler) and Simon, great-grandfather to Ava and he was looking forward to the arrival of two more great-granddaughters in 2024. John was predeceased by his parents, brother Jerry, sister Janet and brother Ted. A celebration of life will be held at Morris Funeral Chapel in Bowmanville on Friday December 15, 2023. Visitation from 11am-1pm, short service at 1pm with a reception to follow. Mary Jean (Romanik) Debree passed away on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 in Sebring, Florida at the age of 71. The daughter of Alfred J. Romanik and Pearle G. (Grady) Bianco. She was born on October 31, 1952 in Tuxedo Park, New York. Mary was of Catholic faith and has been a resident of Avon Park since 2008, having come from Montgomery, New York. Her hobbies included swimming and Bingo. She enjoyed many of the clubhouse activities held in the park. Her family and friends meant the world to her. Her grandson Matthew was her pride and joy. She is survived by her son - Frank Bogert (Dawn) of Rockhill, South Carolina; daughter - Tamara Diehl (Chris) of Germantown, New York; stepdaughter - Connie Debree (Brian) of New Hampshire; stepmother - Helen Romanik of Maybrook, New York; brothers - Alfred Romanik (Mary) of Sebring, Florida; Daniel Romanik of Maybrook, New York; Patrick Romanik; sister - Colleen Romanik of Maybrook, New York; brothers in law - Joseph Debree (Beth); David Debree (Linda); sister in law - Mariann Morgan of Phillipsport, New York. Also surviving are 7 grandchildren - Matthew, Jerad, Chantel, Evan, Brandon, Emma, Ally; 3 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by her dear friends in Crystal Lake Country Club. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband - Patrick Joseph Debree and a sister - Linda Debree.
