Virginia Mcginty Obituary

Virginia R. (Crowley) McGinty, age 81, passed away peacefully on May 5, 2023 at Baystate Medical Center. Virginia was born in Holyoke, daughter of the late James E. and Virginia (Brien) Crowley, and was a graduate of Holyoke High School, Holyoke Community College, and received a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Education from A. I. C. in Springfield. She was a longtime teacher in the Chicopee School system. Virginia was a member of Saint Paul's Episcopal Church in Holyoke for many years. She was predeceased by her husband, Michael McGinty. Virginia is survived by a sister, Kathryn Peterson of Holyoke; a nephew, Carl Peterson and his wife Jenna of Georgia, and a grand-nephew, Max. Visitation will be held Saturday, May 13 from 9:30 to 10:30am in the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, Holyoke, followed by a funeral service at 11:00am in Saint Paul's Episcopal Church, 485 Appleton Street, Holyoke.
