"Nadezda "Faye" Papalazaru Nicholas Floyd, 88, of O'Fallon, MO. , passed away Wednesday November 01, 2023. Faye was born on February 17, 1935 in Flint Michigan, loving daughter of the late John and Anna Papalazaru Nicholas. The loving wife of the late Dickie Ray Floyd, married 49 years and together they raised five daughters. Faye's legacy, she is the Beacon of love, faith and strength to her family. Her life was full and there was never a dull moment in raising five girls, getting Dick up and out of the house, breakfast, lunch packed and their daily Yahtzee games all before 4 am. She enjoyed coffee with lots of milk and sugar while doing a crossword puzzle or crafts. Faye spent special and precious times with her girls as they enjoyed their annual slumber party, casino trips, bingo games and watching games shows. Preceded in death by Leslie Nicholas (brother), Priscilla Jean Welton (sister), daughters Amy Ann Amos (Rick), Anna Marie Baker (Ray) and Ronald Scronce (son-in-law). Survived by daughters, Debi Scronce, Cindi Prinster (Randy), Tami Hance (Allen). Faye is survived by 13 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Her beloved niece Shirley "Boo-Boo" Schembari (Camille). Loving brother Nick Nicholas (Cheryl). Faye loved her family fiercely and could warm a person's soul with just her smile. "Melvin Stanley Lecrone, 73, of O'Fallon, MO. , passed away Saturday, October 21st, 2023, at his residence. Mel was born on December 17, 1949, in Multnomah, Oregon to Carl and Marion (nee Kessler) Lecrone. During his early childhood he was adopted by his loving parents- the late John G and Betty Jane \u0026quot;Mary\u0026quot; Lecrone. The family resided in New Mexico before moving to St Charles, Mo. in the 1960s. After graduating from St Charles High, Mel proudly served in the United States Army during Vietnam. He was an active member of Amvets Post 106 where he brought his friends great joy. Over the years, Mel never met a stranger and was always the life of the party. He had a million jokes, telling his countless favorites to anyone who would listen. He also enjoyed St Louis Cardinals baseball, fishing, country music, old western movies and classic cars. Mel was employed at St Elizabeth-Seton for many years before entering semi-retirement. He then worked for Advanced Auto Parts in O Fallon. When Mel passed away, he was surrounded by his loving family and his beloved pets. He leaves behind his daughter- Autumn Herrington (nee Lecrone), sons- Jacob Lecrone and Cody (wife- Tara) Lecrone, step-daughter- Catina (fiance- Matthew Woodruff) Thompson, grandchildren- Toby Herrington, Lily Herrington, Addison Lecrone and Bailey Lecrone, brothers- Larry Lecrone (wife- Kathy), Gary Lecrone, Rick Lecrone and Mike Lecrone (wife- Rita) sisters- Carol Wright (Lecrone), Peggy Lecrone (Significant other- Sam Fucaloro), Susan Logan and Sonny Jean Lecrone. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and friends that will dearly miss him. Clarita Catherine Schwent, 82, of O'Fallon, MO, on October 12, 2023, passed away peacefully surrounded by family. Clarita was born on September 23, 1941, in Zell, MO, to Edgar and Rose (nee Grieshaber) Jokerst. She was the 2nd oldest, known as Sis, to her twelve brothers and sisters: late Lawrence (Julie), late Norbert (Martha), Joseph (late Jeannie), Paul, late Mary (late Carl) Martin, late Eugene (MaryEllen), Ann (Mike) Stolzer, Edgar, Nicolas (Tina), Joan (late Tom) LaChance, Geralyn (late Paul) Sexauer, and Timothy (Emma). Clarita met and married the love of her life, the late Delbert Schwent, in Ste. Genevieve, MO. They moved to St. Louis, where Delbert worked for nearly 40 years at McDonnell Douglas/Boeing. They had six children whom they cherished: the late Mary Schwent, Catherine (Themos) Dassopoulos, Stephen (Bridget nee Farley) Schwent, Sandra (Neil) Eisenberger, Melissa (Ted) Howle, and Jennifer (Bruce) Manning. Clarita was the treasured Nana to Ryan, Colin, Gretchen, Elli, Alexandra, Harry, Max, Audrey, Savannah, Bruce, and Ray. Clarita's life was devoted to her family. She enjoyed being involved in every aspect of her children's lives. She loved making every birthday special, and every holiday, especially Christmas, unforgettable. She was fiercely committed to her children. She loved spending yearly vacations with the whole family and enjoyed creating special memories with her grandchildren. Clarita was always very active in her parishes: Good Shepherd, St. Thomas the Apostle and Immaculate Conception of Dardenne. She had a deep devotion to the rosary and had a prayer card for every need. She touched everyone who knew her by her calm presence and goodness. She had a knack for developing instant connections with everyone. With unwavering faith, she radiated light and love. She was truly an "angel on earth". Visitation will be on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at Hutchen-Stygar Funeral Home, 5987 Mid Rivers Mall Dr. , St. Charles, MO. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at 10:00am at Immaculate Conception of Dardenne Catholic Church, 7701 Town Square Ave. , O'Fallon, MO with a reception immediately after in the parish hall. Interment will be at 3:00pm at Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church in Weingarten, MO. Patsy Ann (Bennett) Duncan, age 86, of O'Fallon, Missouri passed away on Sunday, August 27, 2023, surrounded by her three children. Patsy was born October 31, 1936 in Harlingen, Texas to Ethel Florence Freeman Bennett and Wayne Bennett. She attended Baylor University in Waco, Texas where she met her husband of 52 years, Terry Duncan. Following graduation from Baylor they moved to Dallas where they welcomed their first child, David, to the family. They then moved to Wichita, Kansas where Terry practiced orthodontics at Rogers, Duncan, and Dillehay. In Wichita their family grew to five with the addition of two daughters, Debbie and Diane. Pat was was active in the Wichita Dental Auxiliary, serving in leadership roles and organizing many events. She earned her pilot's license and enjoyed flying with Terry on many adventures. She loved spending time with her family, traveling, and trips to their lake house, Hummingbird Hill, in Northwest Arkansas. Pat loved sports, specifically cheering on her Baylor Bears in football and basketball. She and Terry were Wichita State Basketball season ticket holders for many years. Pat was the quiet current that kept the Duncan family running smoothly. She made everyone feel special, from birthday parties to graduation celebrations, to family vacations. Everything was special if she had a hand in it. Her actions were always intentional, thoughtful, and sincere . . . always putting others before herself. She adored her grandchildren and was most happy when her loved ones were together. Family was always first. Patsy is survived by her son David Duncan (Shelly Gonzalez); daughters Debbie Johnson (Brian) and Diane Vaughn (Brock); grandchildren Andrew Johnson (Lily Shawver), Blake Johnson, Allison Duncan Hancock (Jeremy), Laynie Duncan, Gina Farinella, Sam Farinella (Caroline Lester); great grandchild Briar David Hancock; and her faithful feline companion Punkin. Patsy was preceded in death by her husband Terry Duncan; her father Wayne Bennett; and mother Ethel Florence Freeman Bennett. Barbara Ruth "Bobbie" Rawls, 84, of O'Fallon, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, June 21, 2023. She was born Monday, October 10, 1938, in Garner, Arkansas to Edgar Dallas and Ruby Arlis Phillips Price. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 53 years at the time of his death, John Thomas Rawls, two brothers, Dallas and James Price and one sister Minnie Belle Price Fowler. She was a member of the Higginson United Methodist Church and was a Charter an active member of the UNEEK Homemakers Extension Club since October 1960 and attended as long as she was able to do so. Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Tina (Mike) Miller of O'Fallon, Missouri, her grandchildren Thomas and Molly and several great grandchildren along with many extended family members and friends. Bobbie had the most important job of any and she loved it and did it with pride and excellence. She was able to be a stay-at-home mom and housewife to her family. Bobbie was always there and ready to help with any community activity and preparing food for those who were sick or had lost a loved one. She enjoyed keeping house and taking care of her flowers and the yard. Everything was always in place and was neat and tidy. She loved her visits to Tina and Mike's home in O'Fallon, but she was also ready to come back to her home in Higginson. Visitation will be 10-11AM on Tuesday, June 27, 2023, at Roller-Daniel Funeral Home followed by a Graveside Service at White County Memorial Gardens at 11:30AM, also on Tuesday, June 27, 2023.
