FLEEGLE - Virginia L. "Ginny", 66, of Boswell, died October 5, 2023 at UPMC Somerset Hospital. Born October 12, 1956 in Johnstown. The daughter of George Fleegle and Mae (Baughman) Koontz-Fleegle. Preceded in death by parents; brothers, Richard and Jerry Koontz and sister Delrita Nymick. Survived by daughter, Brandi (Fleegle) married to Mike Craycraft; grandson, Austin Craycraft; lifelong partner, John Sheffler; nieces, Wendy (Koontz) married to Kenton Kooser and Nicole married to Andrew Cesario; nephew, Deron Koontz and wife Penny and sister-in-law Sue Koontz. Ginny was a 1974 graduate of North Star High School. She was employed by Boswell Prescription Center for over 40 years. She loved spending time with the crew at camp but especially treasured time with her grandson, Austin. Ginny also enjoyed cooking and reading. Smith: Neil William, 97, of Homewood at Martinsburg (formerly of Davidsville), died November 28, 2023, at Homewood at Martinsburg. Neil was born June 10, 1926, in Johnstown, the son of Neil and Margaret Elizabeth (Cramer) Smith. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Betty. He is survived by his wife of 73 years Audrey Jane (Cobaugh) Smith, his loving daughter Patricia married to Mark of NC, and his loving grandchildren: Ryan of PA, Caitlin of NC, and Brendan of Washington DC. He was also the great-grandfather to two great-granddaughters, Sophia and Alexis. Neil was a long-standing member of First United Methodist Church in Johnstown where he served as chairman of many committees. He retired from the Drug House in Ferndale as a manager. In his retirement, he enjoyed wood working and made many solid wood items that his family now enjoys. Neil was a proud World War II Navy veteran. He served on a minesweeper, the USS Recruit, in the Pacific Theatre. A private entombment will be at the Grandview Mausoleum and a Celebration of Life service will be held in the near future at Homewood at Martinsburg. Also survived by grandchildren Matthew and Hannah Hostetler and Nerissa Knoche. She was the sister of David L. and wife Beth (Meyers) Lehman. (Evanchock) Gindlesperger; son, Todd (Heather) Gindlesperger; daughters, Tracy (Rob) Euen and Katrina (Jeff) Dombrosky; grandchildren, Taylor and Ashley Euen, Hadley (Dan) Bedington and Tori and Grant Dombrosky; stepchildren, Kim (Bret) Shaffer, Michael (Joanne) Csordas and Tina Burkett; step-grandchildren, Allison, Jared, Laiken, Alexis, Mark, Jr. (Lea), Bryce and Mason; step-great-grandson, Maverick; brother of Donna Thomas, Dwight "Whitey" (Linda) Gindlesperger, Darwin (Donna) Gindlesperger and Dwynell (Allen "Butch") Boyer and numerous nieces and nephews. Frank was 1962 a graduate of Conemaugh Township High School. He had a long career as a truck driver. Some of his favorite things to do were having breakfast with friends and cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers and Penguins. He also treasured his time hunting with his longtime friend Dave Wingard. Survived by mother, and sons Reed and Jacob. He was the brother of Ben and wife Susan, Ashlee Stayrook, and Stephanie and husband Joseph Crum Sr. He is also survived by nephews Evan, Ashton, Jayden, Joey, Jaxson, and niece Scarlett. Andrew was a 1999 graduate of Conemaugh Township High School. He was employed by Palanes Quality Finishes and Home Improvement. He was an avid Football and Hockey fan especially the Pittsburgh Steelers, Penguins and Johnstown Tomahawks. He was Medically Discharged from the Marines. KING-Steven Raymond "Stevie", 49, Latrobe, died November 7, 2023 at Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital. Born July 25, 1974 in Somerset. Son of Raymond "Ray" King and Rosella K. (Bittner) Wolford. Preceded in death by his parents. Survived by siblings, Michelle Kosis and companion Herman Lepley, Jennifer married to Tom Scott, Chris married to Joe Tomko, Delores "Dee" Drummond, Shayla married to Martin Johnson and twin brother Joe. Also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews as well as his beloved dogs Mama and Gracie. Stevie was a very outgoing and caring person. He was a graduate of North Star High School and served 4 years in the Navy. Stevie loved to spend time with his family, paint and draw, being outdoors, shopping and going to the casinos with his sisters. REFFNER - Dorothy M. (Stoppe) Scrimager, 82, Jenners, passed away October 31, 2023 at her home. Born July 22, 1941 in Gray. Daughter of George, Sr. and Gladys S. (Mullen) Stoppe. Preceded in death by parents; husband, James J. "Porter" Reffner, on July 8, 2010 and brother, Walter "Bim" Stoppe. Survived by children, Gregory Scrimager married to Judith (Dedik), Debra (Scrimager) married to Dr. David Battista, Melissa (Scrimager) Sheeler and Kimberly (Reffner) Kriak; loving grandchildren, Kristi Jo married to Chad Lisbon, Gregory Scrimager and wife Meaghan, Jacob Scrimager and fiance Megan, Chelsea Pluta, Chloe Battista, Cody Shaw and wife Michelle, Hunter Shaw, Parker Shaw and Levi Sheeler and companion Charlotte; great-grandchildren, Connor Lisbon, Maisie, August and Violet Scrimager and Harrison Shaw; brothers, George Stoppe, Jr. and wife Nancy (Evans); Robert Stoppe and wife Patricia (Stout), William "Gabo" Stoppe and wife Joann (Rose) and Richard Stoppe and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Dorothy was a 1959 graduate of J. B. J. Joint High School and a veteran of the U. S. Women's Army Corps. She was employed by Bell Telephone and then went on to have a successful career in the restaurant industry as a cook. She worked primarily for Hoss's Restaurants helping establish and open many of their restaurants throughout Pennsylvania and Virginia. A member of Laurel Trinity Lutheran Church, Jennerstown where she taught Sunday School and was a member of the Knotty Ladies. Dorothy enjoyed watching old westerns and reading and would often share her books with others. She had a great passion for cooking and would always make sure her family was well fed. She had a great love of dachshunds. Her dog Lucy was with her until the end. The family would like to thank UPMC Somerset Hospice and Home Health for all the care they gave to Dorothy. Jones: William III "Skip", 73 of Hollsopple went to be with the Lord on October 22, 2023, at Richland Woods. Born March 18, 1950, in Johnstown the son of William Jr. and Inez (Rullo) Jones. Preceded in death by parents, wife Bonnie (Moranduzzo) Jones who died January 24, 2023, and son William Jones IV. Survived by his siblings Robert and wife Barb Jones, and Donna and husband Donald Greig. Also survived by his in laws Tom and Mary Ann Shaw and Jerry and Linda Jarosick, his Maternal Aunt Mary Louise Buterbaugh, and several nieces and nephews. Skip was an active faithful member of Bethel United Methodist Church in Hollsopple. He was a 57-year Life member of Hollsopple Volunteer Fire Hall since 1966. He was an avid Hunter, Fisherman, and Bowler and was a member of Quemahoning Rod and Gun Club and New Baltimore Sportsman's Club. Skip was a 1970 graduate of Conemaugh Township High School. He served as Constable for 12 years. He retired from Penn Machine after 41 years of Service. Family will receive friends Tuesday from 6-8 P. M. at the George E.
