She was born in 1961 in Lewiston, Idaho to parents Donna Morrell and Francis Dixon. She is survived by her daughter, Ashlee Yager Loftis, and two grandchildren: Wyatt Vandever, 20 and Camryn Barnett, 13. Her grandchildren were the center of her world. She loved making people smile and she was loved by so many. She will be remembered by her contagious laugh, smile and her bright, happy energy she would bring in the room with her. John "Jack" E. McNamara, 90, of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho died October 25, 2023. Jack was born to Myrtle Jacobson and Jack McNamara on December 7, 1932 in Drake, North Dakota. He worked at Bunker Hill until it closed. Then he went to work for the Naval Shipyard in Bremerton, Washington until he retired. He was a longtime member of the Eagles. He is survived by his daughter, Debra Meader; sons, Jeff and Ken; sisters: Beverly and her husband Gene Scheuller of Minnesota; Audrey Volmer, Avis Axtman, Janice Meyer and her husband Dave of Fargo, North Dakota; brothers: Larry, Dean and his wife Connie of Fargo, North Dakota; James from Minneapolis, Minnesota; and Darrell and his wife Norma of Overland Park, Kansas. He is preceded in death by his son, Douglas; and his wife, Lola.Show more

Matthew Robert Peterson, age 51, of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, passed away on September 13, 2023. Matthew was born May 13, 1972, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho to Sandra Sue (née Morton) and Robert Milton Peterson. Matt attended school in Rathdrum, Idaho, and later served in the Army National Guard before and during Desert Storm. He was a passionate patriot. He married twice but was divorced at the time of his death, leaving no children. Matt was a person who cared for and about others, especially friends and family. He provided end-of-life care for his mother and later, his sister. He worked in the security industry as well as transportation services. Matthew was preceded in death by both parents and his sister, Cheryl A. Karraker. He is survived by siblings Dennis J. Colligan (partner Sandra Young), and Laurel M. (née Peterson) Rollins (brother-in-law Michael Rollins), nieces: Nikki Hall, Cassandra Studd, Amy Maddox, Kylieanna Willms, and Katelynne Mattingly, and nephews: Sean Rollins, Tyler Maddox, Austynn Maddox, Brayden Maddox, Ryder Curtis, and Colten Black. Mary Button, 85, of Post Falls, passed away peacefully on October 2, 2023, in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Mary was born in Burliegh County, North Dakota where she started her family before moving to the Inland Northwest where she enjoyed the outdoors and camping. Mary had a long and successful career in real estate and banking. After her retirement, she dedicated her time to serving her community by volunteering for the Post Falls Police Department. Her commitment and dedication were recognized with a presidential award for clocking more than 10,000 hours of service. She was a faithful member of Peace Lutheran church. She will be deeply missed by her son, Cory Fetzer, her daughter, Leta Thomas, and her large extended family. Mary is survived by her 4 sisters, 2 brothers, 7 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. Mary is now reunited with her beloved husband, Harry, and her son, Donovan, along with her sisters Doris, Marolyn, and Jackie who preceded her in death. A celebration of life will be planned for a later date to honor Mary's remarkable life and the impact she had on those around her. Edwin "Gerry" Foisy, 77, of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho passed away Tuesday September 12th, 2023 at Ivy Court Nursing Home. He was born March 6th, 1946 to Margie and Edwin Foisy of Spokane, Washington. Gerry grew up in Deer Park Washington and lived on a dairy farm. He later moved to Spokane, then to California, then back to Spokane to work for Thrifty Auto. Gerry eventually moved to Hayden Idaho to manage Thrify Auto, and met his wife. He later worked for TRW and eventually retired with Federal Mogul as an outside sales rep. Gerry loved anything and everything car related. Whether they were race cars, show cars, or muscle cars. He loved building and working on engines. You could never attend a function without him running into someone he knew. He is survived by his wife Robyne, daughter Jennifer and son in law Kasey, three grandchildren; Malia,Madden, Mikyla as well as extended family. Please bring your classic car in tribute to his Memorial Service at English Funeral Chapel Saturday, September 23 at 10am with a reception to follow.Show more
