"Victoria Ruth Padgett November 28, 1941 - April 11, 2023 Victoria Ruth Padgett, age 81, of San Antonio, Texas returned to her heavenly home on Tuesday April 11, 2023. Born to Robert Lee Hasbrook and Mary Jane Hasbrook in San Antonio, Texas on November 28, 1941. Vicki was a graduate of Thomas Jefferson Highschool in 1959. Vicki met Billy Padgett in college in San Antonio and they soon transferred to Sul Ross University in Alpine, Texas to complete their teaching degrees and get married. It was an exciting time that they both reminisced about for their entire lives. Upon return to San Antonio, she commenced her career as a math teacher of over thirty years working at various public and private schools in the San Antonio community. Her love of going to the nursery to get "just a few more plants" for her yard was certainly a lifelong passion and she tended those plants until her final months of life. Although Vicki had many hobbies that she enjoyed alongside her husband, her passion by far was her plants and their camping excursions together. There was hardly a backroad or small town in Colorado, New Mexico, and West and North Texas that they didn't have a story about for the rest of their lives. Summer break was all about a new adventure in the travel trailer. In the early days with younger children travels included white water rafting and horseback riding, however after the kids started their own families, landscape and wildlife photography consumed much of their travels and free time. Vicki and Bill were both founding members of University United Methodist Church and began attendance when it was just that little farmhouse on DeZavala Road. Vicki is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bill, her sister Lynn, and her brother Matthew. She is survived by her daughter Becky McEndree and husband Mark, her sons Billy Padgett Jr. and wife Shannon and John Paul Padgett and his wife Leslie. Her grandchildren Carey Bray and husband Sean, Allen Volz, Connor Padgett and wife Shelby, Kade Padgett, Mason Padgett, Morgan Padgett and great grandchildren Lillian Stallcup-Padgett, Talon Bray, and Ryker Bray. Chapel services will be held at Mission Park Burial North on Saturday April 29, 2023 at 12:00 pm. "
