Victor Hammons Jr Obituary

Victor Garnet Hammons Jr. , 49, passed away at his home in Cary, NC onSeptember 28, 2023. He was born April 9, 1974, to Meg (Hammons) Graves andVictor Hammons Sr. in Grenada, MS. He was a loving son, brother, uncle, andfriend, and he enjoyed skateboarding, music, and toasting with a great wine, craftbeer, or good bourbon or whiskey. He always had a smile on his face andcelebrated each day to the fullest. Victor's father passed away in Grenada, MS when he was only three and herecently lost his mother on April 13, 2023. He graduated from AC Reynolds HighSchool (Asheville NC) in 1992, the University of Tennessee Knoxville in 1999 andlater went on to earn his Master of Business Administration from the University ofPhoenix in 2009. He never married but enjoyed spending time with his nieces andnephews from NC, TN, IL, and MS. He grew up in Grenada, MS, then moved toChicago, IL and eventually landed in Asheville, NC where he graduated. No matterwhere he resided, Victor made new friends, traveled, and enjoyed life. He is survived by his siblings Patricia (Rick) Taylor, Mark (Allison) Cannon, Andrea(Garrett) Dugger, Cheryl Hansen, Carol (Bill) Yocius, John (Jen) Graves, Jim (Kim)Graves as well as an abundance of nieces and nephews. He is also survived bymany dear friends and families, who considered him a part of their extendedfamily. He is now reunited with his parents, stepfather Jack Graves, stepsisterLinda Graczyk, and many other dear family members in heaven. A time to honor, remember, and toast Victor will be held Friday, October 13,2023, from 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM at Park Village Clubhouse 201 Park Village DriveCary, NC 27519. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2023,at 1:00 PM, at St. Andrew Lutheran Church Memory Garden 901 MurfreesboroRoad Franklin, TN 37096. A reception for family and friends will be held at thehome of Allison and Mark Cannon.
